Very well built diverter valve

I was not familiar with this brand of plumbing fixture. But when I found the Kohler was on backorder, I took a chance and ordered the Modona Solid Brass Shower Arm Diverter Valve. And I am certainly glad I did. It is well built and even came with Teflon tape to insure leak-proof connections. The diverter does not restrict the water flow to the shower head or the handheld. Easy to install and works like a champ. I like it!

This diverter send water in either of two directions; either / or and not both. It is nice solid metal with a ball closure valve which does not leak. Installed properly, this unit is leak proof. The handle points to the direction of water flow.

I was super happy with my Modona diverter valve It is better then stated in their ad on Amazon. Most diverter valves have a plastic handle this one has a metal handle all chrome plated brass. Very solid construction and installed like a dream they even provided the Teflon tape! The valve switches smoothly and no leaks at all. I would tell any one that needs a diverter valve to buy from MODONA BATHROOM COMPANY! They sell quality! This is the second valve I have needed and I wish I had found this product first as it would of saved me time and money. This one is a keeper!!

This is a very good product....no plastic...all metal..lever moves very easily. While very good, it didn't work for me; the hand held shower threaded perfectly but my shower head would not thread. I contacted Modena and asked why. They quickly responded that my shower head probably had NPT threads and their diverted only worked with IPS threads. I never knew there were 2 types! 😒 After several comments back and forth we agreed that my shower arm had male NPT threads (which would accept female NPT or IPS) and my shower head has female NPT threads which would not work with a IPS male. Their diverter had male IPS threads.
The customer service was exceptional. They were very patient and courtesy through out all of my questions. They even offered to give me a full refund if I would give them the Amazon Order Number, and told me not to bother to return the diverter.

This diverter is just what I needed. I have an overhead 8" rainfall shower head I installed and when trying to use the diverter that came with our hand shower- which was fine when switching between the normal shower head and the hand shower - the old valve let enough water by to cause a slow drip or trickle overhead which for my wife for instance who does not wash her hair everytime she showers is a problem.
I read a little and saw this was common but decided to try this diverter based on some reviews saying it doesn't do that... and the review was correct I now have only one at a time and no dripping within a few seconds of switching to the hand shower.
My wife is happy, and I'm happy it came with some Teflon tape and feels very high quality compared to the previous diverter.
The old diverter had three modes , one for each output and one that turns on both... this has only two but with our setup this is fine.
The holes for flow in the unit are small and while I could drill them wider, I find the flow is no worse than before and certainly not problematic enough to risk ruining the valves good sealing properties.
