Great orthotics for the price!
Bjorn Olafsson✓ Verified Purchase•January 29, 2024
These orthotics fit in my shoes very tightly, which is what I wanted. No cutting needed, the 10.5 men's size fit in my 10.5 shoes perfectly. At first glance, I thought that they might not be stiff enough, or that I would flatten them out simply by walking around in them. Not so! They have held up admirably under the circumstances, and they seem to keep my foot from pronating, which is the major reason I bought them. The arch support is stiff and strong, but there is also enough cushion in them for athletic activities. I can feel the muscles in my lower legs burn a little, which tells me that these orthotics are actually changing the alignment of the bones, into a more vertical alignment.
The only drawback is that they are thick in the heel, and so you feel like you are about to step out of your shoes, but that is the compromise one makes, I suppose.
I also have the red color, and so far the only difference is the green fabric on the top of these inserts have a different pattern in it, and I would guess this makes them more breathable. The red ones have a more solid weave on top. They both seem to be very similar in support.
PROS:
+ Stiff arch support
+ Cushioning in the heel (enough to replace the inserts that came in your shoes)
+ Size was perfect (no cutting)
CONS:
- They will substantially change the way your shoes fit.

... two sports insoles from department stores and not being happy with them for cycling I decided to try these ...

After trying two sports insoles from department stores and not being happy with them for cycling I decided to try these instead. They fit surprisingly well in my clipless cycling shoes (just barely fit) and after a 20-mile ride in them I have to say that they've significantly improved the comfort of my shoes and my feet felt great at the end of the ride. Also, if you've never walked in road cycling shoes with a very stiff sole then I'll tell you that it's pretty awkward to walk in and it's almost like walking in wooden shoes with rubber erasers at the tips of both ends of the exterior sole. It's pretty uncomfortable to walk in them for moderate distances and these helped so much with that. My foot moves around much less inside the shoe and it's so much less uncomfortable. I wish I knew how to explain the differences better, but I hope that my explanation suffices. These insoles just make my shoes feel more like a solid sock that conforms to my foot.
I'll have to do a lot more riding to get a real feel for them and I'll be sure to update my review at that point.
Misc notes:
- If you're not familiar with these type of insoles, the rear half is very stiff while the front part that's flat is similar to a normal insole's flexibility.
- The fabric dented along the side when I jammed it into the back of my shoe and hasn't recovered yet so the cushioning may very well flatten over time. That's just speculation though and I really don't know. Beyond that the fabric seems to be pretty high quality and I don't see it pilling or tearing in the future.
- I'm a size 10 male with a medium arched foot. Cycling shoe is a UK 43 (9.5 US).

A huge improvement over the stock insoles!

Many people might be surprised at how cheap the insoles are in even high-end ice and roller skates. I have pairs of both that each cost around $300.00. As I began learning jumps I started experiencing severe pain in my lower back and feet. The jolting was especially bad when I landed flatfooted. Wondering what I could do to ease the pain I examined the stock insoles of my skates. I was shocked to see absolutely no heel padding or arch support. The insoles in both pairs were nothing more than thin pieces of felt. I guess the manufacturers assume that serious skaters will invest in custom orthotics. I have fairly high arches, but otherwise pretty normal D-width feet. As I researched boot inserts I saw non-custom inserts that ranged in price from $8-$60.00 per pair. While reading the reviews, I saw mixed mixed ratings for those at each end of the price spectrum. What's more, some of the cheaper ones rated very well. According to some reviewers the Nazaroo inserts ranked very well compared to the $50.00 pairs, so I decide to give them a try. When they arrived they appeared to be well-made and they fit into my skates with no trimming. I've been skating on them for several weeks now and the experience has been a pleasant revelation. My landings now feel softer at the heel and stress in the plantar area is much reduced. I used to have to ration my jumps to a few per session, but now I can jump almost without restraint. With these insoles my pricey instructional level figure skates feel like I hoped they would. The only reason I withheld a star is that I've only been wearing them for about a month. They seem to be holding up well. If a still like them this much at the end of the ice skating season, I'll gladly give them 5 stars.
Good arch support & heel cup

I've only had time to wear them once so far, but they didn't give me any discomfort when I did a fast walk. Other inserts aren't as 'solid' as these, and I like that.
Comfortable and priced right

Comfortable and priced right, I always buy a size bigger because they are very easy to trim down with scissors
