For the money, you can't go wrong with these rock lights. I bought the 8 pack and put them on my 16' Jeep Wrangler.
Placement: I used self-tapping screws to attach the lights (without the rubber piece) directly to my inner fenders. They are on there tight! I placed one on the center front of the Jeep on the sway bar and zip-tied it in place. I used silicon adhesive to adhere two magnets on the back of the remaining three lights. I placed them center of the Jeep on each side and placed them on the frame rails and placed the last on the housing to the hitch receiver. The magnets have held them in place well. I mounted the box near the battery and wired them directly to the battery.
Tips: Three of the wires wires were not long enough to reach the box under the hood. Three of the wires were extremely long. I cut the length off the long ones and soldered them to the ones that needed extra length. There are separate wires under the insulation that are color-coded and easily identifiable. The extensions would be simpler, but this was done easily enough.
Issue: The only issue that I've identified is sometimes my phone (or other phones) can't "find" the receiver. The only way I've been able to rectify this is to disconnect the power to the box and re-connect it. After that, they work as they should. This is the only reason that I'm not giving 5 stars. However, if I were to wire these to accessory power or on a power switch, this may not be an issue.
Impression: Buy them! They look cool and you can't beat them for the price! I especially like to see the light shining on the ground around my mud terrain tires. They look like saw blades! Pretty sweet and a real head-turner!

That was going to burn my whole vehicle , it was working all fine for the late 6 months until this happened today , the lights were off as its morning going off to work , i arrived the place and right before i close my door , i see lot of smoke and this adapter is burning including the wires ! I would like to know what have gone wrong here and why did it burn like that ?!

These rock lights are great! Easy install and they have so many features. I actually used epoxy to attach magnets on the back of them to make them easy to attach to my trucks wheel wells without having to drill. My only complaint is that the app to control them with Bluetooth is not always reliable. It worked the first 3 times but by the fourth time, it wouldn't connect. My Bluetooth on my phone was connecting with everything else fine so I know it was the app. I just used the remote that came with it instead. Gen I tried the Bluetooth app a few days later and it worked fine again. So I guess just keep the remote handy just in case the app quits on you. Other than that they are great!

the price is just right. Tested before installing all lights worked with the app. Haven't used the supplied remote but the app worked perfect from the start. At first I left it connected to constant power for the module thinking I can turn on and off with app or remote but that didn't work the next day. ( I think the Bluetooth turns off ) I added an inline switch and when turned on it defaults to the last color and the app connects flawlessly. So if you use these don't just connect to power and ground make sure and add a switch for power.

6 lights dead out of the box. I plugged all the lights into the controller and hooked it up to a 12V battery on my bench. All lights turned on for a second, then 6 lights dimmed to nothing. The remaking two lights functioned normally. Total waste of time. Do not buy.
