these are great cherries packed in wonderful rich luscious syrup if you're drizzling over cheesecake or other plain-ish desserts that need a little something to make them special. they're also really nice as a cocktail cherry when you just can't get past the look and taste of those chernobyl red cherries in the baking aisle. HOWEVER, if you're not in a position to go through them in a reasonably quick manner, they have a fairly short lifespan. you're not saving money by getting the big container.
These cherries are delicious and perfect for baking

These cherries are delicious and perfect for baking. I bought them to make traditional black forest cake, which calls for a not-too-sweet cherries to fill and torte the cake. It was really hard to find German cherries, so I bought these instead and they were perfect. Not too sweet, not bitter, but just right. My only complaint was that the can was dented, but fortunately the seal wasn't broken so they were safe to eat.
A jewel for your epicurean efforts

This is a great product. The cherries have a complex flavor that pairs well with many different foods and beverages. I have added it to brownies and chocolate cake. It shines as a glaze for pork or chicken and will even turn Brussel sprouts into a favorite side. Add a bit to bourbon, brandy, or even soda. The best is as crown jewel for yogurt or ice cream.
I chose the 2 pack can vs the beautiful jar because I think it is a better buy for this excellent product.

You will make yourself sick off these

I'm a snobby craft cocktail bartender and have had so many types of cherries from luxardo, bada bing, house made etc... These are absolutely superior to any cherry and add the quality gourmet touch to any beverage, especially an old fashioned or Manhattan. You'll make yourself sick off of these.
These are a very sweet cherry in a heavy syrup

These are a very sweet cherry in a heavy syrup. The flavor is just a little off. I wanted to use them for a Black Forest Torte but instead have them soaking in a 5 year old Real McCoy rum. The rum is so good that it will turn these cherries into a nice little gift for someone.
