Do not use on slick floors.

I was hopeful and the reviews seemed ok for our cargo trailer, fold up, two step, well. Not what I expected at all. The bottom step is useless if your coming down out of the trailer, and then there is the PLASTIC FEET? Really? Who thought plastic would be better than non-skid rubber? But the first day I used it the plastic (should be rubber) slid and now the legs seem to squish out every time you use it. Then another question is if the load is spread across two sets of legs, WHY is there only 1 latch? Seems the step is now crooked and bent because its only structurally supported on one side. However, word of experience, Watch your fingers when you try to unlatch it, it will bite.. We tossed this into the garage and bought a Rubbermaid 2-step. I hate taking the time to write reviews and never like to give a bad review unless I gave the seller an opportunity to fix something. In this case, I think it is a great idea (folding 2-step) that is not fully evolved yet and when it come to my safety, I have to say something. So Delxo, change the plastic to rubber feet, add a second latch to the left side, make the bottom step stick out more so its actually useful.

What a terrible design. I wanted this for a toddler to reach bathroom sink and it's really not useful for this purpose. From the picture, you would think it's aluminum or some other lightweight metal and the black bits are rubber, because that would make sense. The metal is something awfully heavy (hard to fold and store) and the black bits are cheap plastic, not flexible and with zero traction, so the whole assembly will slip really easily. Especially in bathroom, but really anywhere unless the floor is rubber. On the top of it, it came covered with red rusty looking powder at corners between the stool and the packaging. It was not possible to scrub the powder off the white surface. Oh, Amazon also charged us extra $11 to send it back, so watch out for that if you decide to order.

Perfect height. Nice modern aesthetic and build. I understand the fuss about the red button. I figured it out though.
Tip: to close, pull up the handle with one hand pulling the stool off the floor, press the red button using your other hand, then use one foot to tap the horizontal bar that sits on the floor. Tapping your foot on the horizontal bar will prompt it to shut with light tap.
Aside from this I give it B for the extra step to close.

I wish the black nonskid surface of the steps was made out of rubber or something real that would hold up over time. It looks and feels like some kind of black plastic without much traction.

Four stars lowered to one star because I nearly broke my neck several times due to the legs slipping on my vinyl kitchen floor. This step stool could be OK for outdoor usage on rough concrete, but the tips of the legs are made of a kind of plastic that simply does not stay put. Extremely dangerous for use on vinyl floors. Do not buy.

After searching for months, and returning 3 prior step stools, I found the perfect one. Product arrived on time, and well protected in package. This item is used in my Tiny House to get up to bed, it stores easily during the day. Every inch counts, this ladder folds up pretty flat. It does not slide around on the floor and I feel secure using it. My body is old and injured, so safety is a big factor for me.
