Survived a crash

First trip out on the bike with this phone mount, it got put to the full test. It handled wind at 60mph, it handled vibrations, it performed flawlessly. At first, I was a bit apprehensive because it didn't appear real sturdy. Boy was I wrong.
On the way back from the first ride with the mount, a truck in front of me decided to lock up its brakes. No, I wasn't tailgating. Unfortunately the truck made this move right as I was checking the left lane to see if it was clear. It was just bad timing, and I was left with the choice of slamming into the truck, or laying the bike down at 45mph. I put the bike down, the impact and slide broke the gopro housing, tore up the side of the bike.....but my phone survived without a scratch. It was still securely attached to the mount. What better endorsement do you need?
Don't test it the way I did. Broken bones and road rash isn't as fun as it sounds. Nobody is paying me anything, I'm getting nothing from this review. I feel compelled to let everyone know that this phone mount isn't just a bunch of manufacturer marketing. It's the real deal.

the mount seemed like a good idea. I tried to mount it to my Kawasaki KLR 650 but it would not tighten down to the top bar of he handle bars. To fix this I added a piece of rubber tubing to make it thicker so the mount would fit. I thought I was all set after this very minor set back. After about 5 days of use the left wing of the bracket popped loose from the spring and the mount. Fortunately I found the piece and was able to rig it to use my phone on my short trip home. I am pretty dis satisfied by the product. I really expected more. I would not recommend this item based upon my experience. All of my riding was road riding. None of it was rough. The item should have lasted longer.

I use it on my stationary bike. It mounts easily and I only need to insert my phone in the clamps so I can watch TV on it; attaching the corner pieces isn't necessary for stationary bikes. Attaching corner pieces, which just involves stretching the rubber pieces over the corners, makes it secure enough for bicycle riding. It's sturdy and it easily rotates between vertical and horizontal. Well made.

I really don't like this thing, it's made ok but the rubber band is a bit too janky to deal with and I'm always worried it's going to break. I used this for a 200 mile race as a backup for my tablet/tablet mount on my sailboat but wasn't impressed with it's durability outdoors. It didn't break (yet) so I'll give it 4 stars. This might be a good backup to have as a hot spare or something.

I have a saying. Don't but cheap accesories for expensive gadgets. But in this case it is worth it. This holster has hold it for days of sun, wather and several abuse without problems. It has been able to keep my phone while doing 120mph without hassle and is very convenient.
