Boil for 5-6 minutes for best taste
Scmx✓ Verified PurchaseFebruary 17, 2018
Added this to my diet - I boil a pot of water, put it in for maybe 5-6 minutes (if I do 10 it makes the water taste funky) and put it in a carafe in the fridge. Taste is still good, and gives me an iron boost.
I am so glad I got it

I was hesitant to buy this because of the price point. I am so glad I got it. My husband has an iron deficiency. I put this fish in pretty much anything liquid. Soup, pasta sauce, boiling pasta water, boiling potatoes, etc. I haven't noticed an added taste to our foods that I add it to. I can tell when I haven't used it for awhile because my husband's symptoms start to show. I use it again and they go away. This truly helps. I had seen reviews about rusting issues. I have used mine too many times to count and it is not rusting. I clean it off right after use, dry it, and put it away. No rust. If it was to eventually rust, I would buy another one. That is how well this works for iron deficiency.
Helps with my Iron levels

It's easy enough to use, and I can tell it is really making a difference with myself and my kids! I put it in the water while I boil it for mac n cheese, or hotdogs, or even pasta. I can tell when I'm low on Iron because I feel weak and tired. Haven't felt like that since a week or 2 after we got this!
Lucky Iron Fish Review

I really like the fish. I use it in an electric teapot in my office. Sometimes I forget to fish it out (my fault) and it rusts a little so I rub it with castor oil. I pout it over ice as my drinking water and add a good dose of lemon juice. That is supposed to help you absorb calcium and also takes away the iron taste. The only reason I gave this a four instead of a five is that when I tried to donate blood, my iron was still low. It's probably just my body...I'm not giving up and will use the fish until it dissolves to a guppy. Then I will swallow it. :-)
Great Gift Idea

Arrived quickly. Nicely packaged and perfect for a gift. I got one for me and one for someone else. We haven't had them long enough to run the blood tests to see if it's really working but so far so good. The science is solid though so I'm hopeful.
