Before this $17 watch, I've had 3 Tokyo Bay watches which all ran in the neighborhood of $100.00. I've been keeping them alive by prying open their backs and inserting very tiny replacement batteries. I have also replaced a couple of their bands. So far so good. My goal was not to have to spend $100 each year for a replacement watch. And their prices seem to be on the rise. Then I happened to stumble across this watch and could not believe the price -- about as much as an inexpensive replacement watch band. So I had no choice; I had to get one. I've had it for about a week and keep waiting for the band to fall off as some other reviewers have experienced. But so far it's still intact. The watch face is larger than the Tokyo Bay watches, which is great because its nice to actually be able to see what time it is. I just like having a watch on my wrist so that I don't have to keep rooting around in my pocket for my cell phone. As I write this, I have 2 TB watches and this one sitting on my desk and was bemoaning the fact that this one does not have a minute hand, when in fact it does but you just can't see it unless the light strikes it at just the right angle. Still, it's nice to know it's there, if almost invisibly. I don't have many (any) friends with Rolexes, so I won't have to worry about social embarrassment. So, for those out there who aren't afraid, under the right circumstances, to wear an inexpensive (okay, cheap) watch, I highly recommend this watch.

A few years ago I purchased a very expense watch and the band broke twice. I then purchased a cheaper watch and it stopped working within 6 months. I recently purchased this watch and it feels and looks great. Time will tell how it will hold up.
