This fryer is amazing! Small (3#) roasts, steak, turkey thighs... meat comes out perfectly... juicy on the inside and brown on the outside... and fast! Fries, appetizers... you mame it... fast and perfect. Clean up is a breeze. Most residue wipes off easily. If it looks cooked on, I fill with dish soap water and soak overnight... wipes right out in the morning.
Think long and hard before you purchase this, will you actually use it that often? I rarely use mine.

I'm kind of on the fence about this item. To be honest, I thought I would use it more. But I find it is mostly collecting dust on my shelf. So consider carefully how much you will use it before purchasing. I have made stromboli in it, which came out great. It works really well on pre-packaged frozen fried stuff like mozzarella sticks, french fries, things of that nature. I generally spray them with a little olive oil and then cook 'em up and they come out much better than cooking in a traditional oven. But I discovered that I wasn't really as excited about cooking that kind of food as I thought I would be. I guess this appliance wasn't that much of a game changer for me. I do feel a little bad about giving it 3 stars and not 4.
I have made home made chicken fingers in it and they came out great. I did notice the oven cooked things a little faster than the timer said, so you might want to keep your eye on the time at first to see if yours does the same.
On the plus side, this thing is very easy to clean and easy to use.

I NEVER write reviews, but I couldn't resist....I've been disabled for many years due to an auto accident that causes severe nerve problems with my hands and arms. I have a terrible time baking and using a fryer due to lifting out hot dangerous pans and baskets with my limitations. I decided to purchase this air fryer in hopes of being able to bake and "fry" foods again....OMG, I'm overjoyed!! This amazing fryer arrived today, no real set up or learning curve. I first tried homemade seasoned French fries with red potatoes, came out incredible, my two teenaged sons were really impressed, great flavor, crispy and not dry in a few minutes!! So easy, next I decided to make breaded baked pork chops, just rinsed with water, covered with garlic seasoned bread crumbs a little salt and pepper, four nice sized boneless chops fit in the basket easily and about 20 minutes later ( flipped one time) they were perfect and truly delicious!! Not dry and perfectly browned!! This has made my holiday season, I can't tell you how grateful I am for this product!! Can't wait to make more....meals, desserts and snacks....I've attached photos of the fries and chops, you judge for yourself, but I couldn't be happier :) !!!!!

I bought a different brand, and twice as expensive, Air Fryer for my daughter as a gift. After using hers several times, I knew I wanted my own but I didn't want to spend as much. I actually like this model much more. The Philips one I originally purchased had a mesh basket which was often difficult to clean. The Power Air Fryer XL is very easy to clean. This is also a great deal because it comes with accessories which I had to purchase separately with the Phillips. Both Air Fryers work great but I would recommend the Power Air Fryer XL for the price and for ease of use.
