This scanner will not disappoint!! I am digitally archiving all of our family reunions photo books from way back in the 80's and the books that I can take the pictures out of the sleeves without damaging them goes through the scanner so quickly and I can Scan the pictures and put them back in the book, and do a whole book in less than an hour (The pictures that can't come out of the book I have to use a flat top scanner)! The software that is downloaded onto your computer (I did it from the website because my laptop doesn't have a CD disc slot) is easy, user friendly, and fast!! I also love that I don't have to line the pictures up, and that the scanner takes the picture in any location in the slot, scans it and crops it to make it an easy process for me!!

Update: After 2 OFshore Amazon associates (first one was all wrong across the board). Associate 2 was very helpful and got another sent out within 3days. I plugged it in and reinstalled the software and it fired right up after a calibration. I have to put my images in upside down, but thats cool. Dont forget to face scanned image away from you (Facedown through scanner). It will make sense when you take off the tape. Also, make sure not to pull out card. in scanner. Undo tape and packaging inside on scan glass. I hope you dont get a dud first. Good customer service Amazon.

I bought this scanner after reading one could do a batch of photos in minutes. I was able to scan about 50 photos in less than 10 minutes. And letter and legal sized documents very quickly!
I did have problems with the calibration. The paper supplied didn't feed correctly and got messed up. Customer support was easily accessible and he lead me through the process.
There are editing features that are simplistic but I'm hoping not to have to use them.

Bought this to assist in making a slideshow for my dad's funeral. I have a multifunction printer but the scanner is obviously not designed for scanning a bunch of photos quickly. With over 100 photos to scan I thought the time saved would be worth the money spent and I was right. This thing can basically scan photos as quick as you can feed them. It does a great job. Picture quality is great, the photos are centered and no extra white space or any further editing was necessary. I was even surprised to find a slideshow creator program built into the software. The software lets you arrange the photos in the order you want before you save them which is nice for creating a slideshow because then you can just import them already in order. The only things that could be improved is the software only lets you sort 50 photos at a time and the slideshow maker only allows a music file up to 5 minutes. For my dad's slideshow we had 100 photos and a roughly 9 minute song. Not sure why the limitation but if they can fix that it would get 5 stars.

After reading the reviews I had high expectations, but the quality of the restorative features absolutely blew them away! Our extended family was so jealous of our digital albums that we have a line of people waiting to borrow our scanner for themselves. 5/5 stars and would absolutely recommend to anyone on the fence!
