I purchased the Amphony 800 transmitter and 2 880 receivers because I was very impressed with the Infinity transmitter/receiver I purchased six months ago for my subwoofer. Infinity and Amphony are evidently made by the same people so I decided to try the 800/880 for my surround speakers. No apparent loss of sound quality but much more flexibility for speaker placement. One of the 880 receivers stopped working and in less than a week Hi Fi Corner sent a replacement unit. It was a totally hassel free return process and the customer service could not have been better. It's easy to understand why they get so many favorable reviews. I will not hesitate to buy from them again.
Add a resistor if you have a smart receiver

I bought two of these receivers with a transmitter for the rear speakers in my living room. I also bought a Sony 7.2 Channel Home Theater 4K AV Receiver (STRDH770) to replace an older Sony receiver. It was all a birthday gift. When everything was initially setup one receiver would pick up sound and the other had almost no sound at all. We worked with the manufacturer and they quickly did an RMA on the units thinking that something might be wrong. (Great customer service by the way). They tested a set before shipping out to us but they did the same thing. We were about to give up and submitted a return requesst when the manufacturer suggested getting "Cutequeen 2PCS 100W Watt 50 Ohm Aluminum Case Wirewound Chassis Mounted Resistor (pack of 2)" to try. It turns out that the Sony Receiver is trying to be smart and detect the impedance of the speakers and just disabled them when the Amphony transmitter didn't provide enough impedance. Adding the resistors tricked the Sony into putting out sound. The product works really well once you add that resistor and the manufacturer was really responsive. I only took a star off because of the inconvenience when it was a birthday gift.
4-channel transmitter

I ordered this for my rear speakers and was advised that there is a more economical option available from the same manufacturer which includes the wireless receiver. However I decided to still purchase this unit as I may be adding more speakers when I upgrade my AV receivers to a 7.1 model. This transmitter gives me 4 wireless channels which in the case of 7.1 I will be using for the 2 rears and the 2 side speakers. There is also a receiver available for subwoofers which I am considering in case I wanted to add a subwoofer into the mix. The transmitter is well made and easily syncs up with the wireless receivers. The speaker cable connectors are a bit small but easily accept the speaker wires that were included in the package. There is no volume control so the AV receiver controls the volume itself. So far this has worked pretty well and I am looking forward to purchasing additional receivers.

After ordering this unit, I received an email from the vendor advising that I also needed to buy the wireless receivers. I didn't realize that at first but then discovered that it does say so on the product page. So I went ahead and got a model 880 receiver which arrived at the same time as the transmitter. It works as it should so I am a happy camper. I do like the fact that the vendor followed up with me to avoid disappointment. So overall I am pleased.

Firstly, having moved into an apartment which has a very open living room/dining room space we needed a wireless solution for our rear speakers set across two open spaces. This receiver and two amplifiers work flawlessly. The sound just came alive and now have our surround system back! Until.....went to turn off the system for the night and as soon as we turned it off, BUZZZ! Ground loop. No interest in spending more money for a solution to that but then, having figured out by unplugging the receiver the buzzing went away, plugged the receiver into a smart plug and turn that off with the receiver to which, Logitech if your listening, how about some smart plug support? Would be nice. Also, I can't say enough for the customer support by the supplier! The first receiver showed up dead. Both receiver and power supply dead. They sent a replacement out same day with no questions. Thank you guys SO MUCH. If you need a wireless solution for your speakers, Amphony is a pretty darn good product. One star for buzz.
