I use these for gun and parts cleaning. The padding absorbs grease, oil and solvent. The plastic backing seems to be resistant the the solvents I've used so far, and some are pretty stout solvents. When I'm done, I just roll it up and throw it away. Easy cleanup. The white absorbent makes small parts easy to see.
Not capable of handling pee

The pads aren't a solid water barrier. When I remove the pad from the cage, there's a small puddle under the pee spot on the pad. The pad will soak up most of the pee, but some of it still soaks through. Did I mention that these are pee puddle from my 2 pound puppy? Hate to see the mess a larger dog makes.
