Goes on easy, covers well, holds up to the elements

Stained a picket fence with the wood stain. It went on easily with a brush and the wood soaked it up. Dries quickly. Covered the gray and green of the aged/weathered wood. The color is beautiful and very rich. After months of sun and getting hit with morning sprinklers the color is holding up.
Was impressed with how easy it washed out of the brush.
Great to use.

I used some of this on a picnic table and some wooden TV trays. The picnic table looks brand new again and I love the redwood color on the TV trays which are also used out on the patio. It has good coverage and is easy to apply. Their preparation requirements are pretty intensive. I admit that I did not follow them completely. I just did a light sanding and then put this on and it turned out just fine.
Excellent Wood Stain

Looks great on my patio fence.

Coverage is nice and even -- goes on smooth and soaks in. Waterproofing is super effective -- water just beads up and rolls off.

Always been really happy with Kilz products, and this one is no exception.
Costco redwood play structures need this!
Amy E. Henry✓ Verified PurchaseMay 1, 2017
We used this on a Costco redwood play structure that needed some TLC. It doesn't go very far but it did look good and made the play area look newer and fresher. I like that a bit of color is in the sealant so that it looks even instead of just making scratches more noticeable.

A second gallon was needed. Very good value and one solid coat did the job. Dried within a day (a hot one).

We should have done it sooner as we had some minor cracking at ends and joints. This may have prevented that had we done it sooner.
