I use this as a diabetic in place of sugar and notice no difference in taste/texture no matter what I use it in but I don't use it often . What I use it for daily is as a mouthwash to prevent cavities. I also use it in my water flosser. I haven' had a cavity since I started using real birch xylitol years ago and my dentists have always told me, even when I was young and before I developed diabetes type II, that I formed cavities like a diabetic does; dee, pin hole cavities so my mouth is full of fillings. So, this has been like a gift to me in my pocketbook from a dental prospective and from a health standpoint for my diabetes and mouth health.

I love this xylitol. Made from birch, not corn. No bitter aftertaste. Xylitol is not quite as sweet as sugar, so I add a small amount of stevia to bring it to the level of sugar sweetness. I have also combined it with erythritol to reduce the laxative effect- which I experience if using too much (more than 1 tablespoon in a serving). Highly recommended from a person who typically does not like ANY artificial sweeteners, but had to switch up sweeteners in order to adhere to a low carb diet.
Heads-Up on the Granule Size!

The granules are very large, way larger than typical sugar granules -- almost the size of the sugar they use to decorate cookies. So if you don't mind very large granules, you will be happy. For my needs, the granules are way too large, and they dissolve very slowly. If there were a heads-up on the package about the size of the granules, I would have rated it 5 stars.
No after-taste, good for baking and diabetics and healthy tooth enamel is a plus.

Only sweetner I have used that never leaves an after-taste. AND it is actually good for your tooth enamel! Wish I had known about this or found it accessible when I was raising my children. I use it just like sugar for baking, great in home whipped cream also. My husband is Type2 diabetic so tapioca pudding with almond milk and xylitol is wonderful! I carefully shopped for birch sugar, not the xylitol made with corn and found this to be the best bargain. I keep it in a canister even though the package is sturdy and resealable.

I've purchased a few different varieties of xylitol. I prefer a product made in the US rather than China - so this is a good choice for that. The taste is consistent with other brands and the price is good. My only complaint is that the crystal size is relatively large compared to regular sugar. I prefer a smaller crystal. I've been putting this in my spice grinder to make it finer. Because I use part xylitol and part stevia, this works well - this allows me to mix them together and stay mixed.
