They seem to work fine inside. Haven't had outdoor testing yet the IP rating on the ones I received are IP 65 though, a little less than advertised but so far so good.

Originally I submitted a negative review because I thought half the string was defective. However I quickly realized it was human error. Me being the human lol
LED string seems made of quality materials and are colorful and bright. My only very minor complaint is they have a chemical smell. Probably the glue they use. Other than that I highly recommend these!

Not ideal for Holiday Lighting hobbyists

These are WS2811 pixels, but there are a few issues making them not ideal for people doing Holiday Lighting with xLights or Vixen, and trying to use with coro props.
1) Distance between pixels is advertised as 4 inches, but this is clearly including the length of wire inside the epoxy. Most of the hobby vendors are measuring the length on the outside of the pixel/epoxy. As such, you'll have to "stretch' these pretty tight to make the jumps expected by the coro props. In an even worse scenario, you'll have to cut/solder to make the jumps.
2) Wire is advertised as 18 AWG, but that must be including the insulation. The actual wire material inside is much less than other pixels I have.
3) These come with JST connectors, which are not the most recommended connecting method in the hobby. You'll end up needing to buy pigtails and solder/connect them.
Overall, I bought these expecting the above, but needed some in a pinch. These met the immediate need, but wouldn't recommend buying large quantities of these if it can be avoided.
