I bought it for my golden doodle. I shaved her hair (Make her hair shorter ) and it works well. My little girl doesn't like it because she doesn't want anyone cut her hair , but I am happy; I cost much less compared with bringing her to Petsmart to cut hair . If anyone has a poodle or golden doodle at home, it would be a good choice that you buy this kind set and cut pet 's hair by yourself to save money.

There's something about these clippers that really needs to be emphasized--the distance between the teeth is very small, and that goes a long way towards making sure that you don't accidentally hurt your pet. As many people know, cats have thin, "crepe-like" skin, which can easily be cut on accident. Because there is so little space between these teeth (~1mm), the odds of their skin getting past the guard are pretty slim (although I would still urge people to be cautious).

We have a young Siberian cat with a thick coat of long, wispy hair. We'd purchased a ~$30 set of Wahl pet clippers from Walmart; they worked, but we would have to cut her hair over multiple sessions because they would get hot quickly, would clog with hair and require repeated oiling, and just generally could not handle the work. We even managed to nick her leg once, despite being forced to go slowly--the spacing between the teeth just doesn't lend itself to trimming cats safely.

We were going to purchase one of the $100+ sets, but after reading all of the good reviews, we decided to try these out first...and we're glad we did. If you've ever seen videos of professional sheep shearers taking strips of wool off their animals, this was almost as good--like peeling a grumpy cat banana.

I don't know how good those other sets are, but I know that these are good enough for our purposes. The set of scissors and metal comb were a nice touch. My only complaint is that the instructions are indecipherable--it's hard to even make out what the drawings represent. But that's small potatoes compared to what you get, so I'm giving these 5 well-deserved stars :)

My big fluffy cat was full of burrs and mats, I needed to do something for him and the vet was going to charge me $130 to trim him under anesthesia. I was leery purchasing this cat groomer due to the very low price. After reading all the rave reviews, I thought 'What can I lose?' Well, let me tell you, Cinders lost all his fur with very little amount of noise (we could have watched TV over the noise of the clippers, his growling....not so much!) Package arrived at 5pm, I charged it for an hour (not all the way charged) and by 7, Cinders was done! These clippers are light, quiet, and fast! I was nervous as this was my first shear, and didn't want to cut him, but it zipped right through his fur without any issues (I tried one of the guards, but it seemed to slow the whole process down). As you can tell by the pic, I'm not a professional, but it solved our problem!

better than the one i bought from eBay, which is made in Germany but not working. this one is great! I shaved the hair on the bottom of my dog and he seems ok with the sound. Havn't try on my cat yet. Sharp head, works well.

I never leave product reviews but I had to for this item. Got it today and opened the package. I put it to charge for about an hour and decided to see how it worked on my Belgian Shepherd. He is all black with long hair and his butt always gets matted so that's why we bought this. My dog has anxiety and I have never had such an easy time doing anything to him as I did with this clipper. I had more expensive clippers before and the motor burned out on me because his coat is super thick (almost like a sheep). I love that this is cordless. It is fairly quiet, no loud "click,buzz!" Sound when turning on. My dog didn't mind it and got used to it after a couple minutes. It was not fully charged when I started using it but it lasted 2 hours of clipping my large dog. It left a very smooth result and it did not get super hot or jammed/clogged. SUPER IMPRESSED!! Even if it doesn't work the next time I go to use it, It was well worth the $25 because of the ease of use. It also doesn't vibrate a lot which is nice when you are using it for hours on end. Doesn't make your hand go to sleep. I will be buying another just in case.
