It is indeed quiet. Small motor...small tank...even less lasting power. In 15 seconds, your stream is lost and you have to wait for it to recharge. I have to say it was my fault, I didn't realize it would just die out so quickly....my friends say, "what did you expect with a 1 gallon tank?" and thats true.
Nice, quiet compressor for general home use.
