Key features

  • Compared by most of OBD metal pins in market with zinc plating, ours are gold plating. Better reliable on contact and electric transmission. Compared by most of OBD II Memory Saver (or Automotive Computer Memory Saver) in market with 3 ~ 5 ft in cable length, ours with super long 10 ft (3meters) cable. In this way, you can change your car battery, also by get the alternative 12V power source from another car, when you not have a jump starter on hand
  • 8 amp fuse built into the memory saver, better reliable on overload protection. Powered by any jump starter with a 12V outlet into an OBD II Memory Saver. Interface connector between a 12V DC power source and vehicle's OBD II port. Preserves vehicle codes and electronic presets. Replacing a car battery on older vehicles used to be simple!! You unhook the old battery and install the new one.
  • Late-model vehicles, however, rely on computers that operate everything from the stereo to the transmission. If power is lost to the computer, the settings are lost and have to reset to default. That means the vehicle may feel different when driven, and you may have to enter a security code to access the stereo.
  • Using this simple memory saving device when replacing your car battery will help you avoid these problems. This device can work with any 12V DC power source, including jump starter, DC 12V Lead-acid battery, or another car's DC 12V power outlet.
  • As our device with 3 meter cable, it will be a convenient way, should you not have jump starter (or Lead-acid battery) on hand, and the device can also get the 12v power supply from cigarette lighter of another good car. Just insert the Cigarette lighter plug to this car and insert into 16 pin plug to the OBD port of the car you want to replace battery. And now you can replace the battery.

It works as expected. I use my old 12 volt apc battery and it work without any problem in my 2010 Honda Accord. I can also plug the cigarette connector to another car buy it's too short unless I put both car next to each other.

2013 Accord V6 - Worked flawlessly! I did not need instructions but for those that stated it didn't work might have benefitted with directions. I also would not use the power plug adapter for power from the vehicle being used to provide electricity as it is not known if it will stay live and if there is a timed auto-off feature.

1. Make sure ignition is off and all lights and anything that draws power is off.
2. Plug into OBD2 port of car that is to have battery disconnected making sure it is firmly seated.
3. Shut the doors so any interior light and headlights go off.
4. Attach alligator clips on battery of a different vehicle or spare battery. (Not the one being removed or the one being installed)
5. Verify the red LED is lit on the cable. If it is not, check the polarity.
6. Staying clear of the ECU cable, disconnect the battery terminals being careful the positive does not touch the ground of the car.
7. Install new battery being certain not to open any doors or use the fob why on donor power.
Does save memory.

I use it on all my cars, mostly Hondas.
Works with my portable jump starter for the 12V supply.
Recommended When Disconnecting The Battery To Retain Settings

Vehicle manufacturers and repair ships often advise against disconnecting the battery without providing a battery back-up to the on-board computer systems and other electronics found in almost all modern vehicles since 1996. This will keep things from resetting to their factory state while replacing the battery or alternator and other repairs that require disconnecting the battery. Simply plug this into the OBDII port and connect it to a battery source. According to experts, not doing this can cause the engine and other electronics to have to re-learn their settings and can cause drive-ability issues for awhile as the systems adjust themselves to conditions. This device is affordable and well worth the extra few minutes time it takes to plug it in.
It works! No need to worry about connections.

Worked as expected. No problems.
I needed to replace the battery in my truck and did not want to lose all of the settings in my entertainment center, etc. This 'Memory Save' cable did the trick. Since it plugged directly into the OBD II connector under the dashboard, I didn't have to worry about clips falling off the battery cables or whether my aux socket would be connected to the battery with the vehicle power turned off.
I highly recommend this product.
