Works great on home mats so long as it is applied in one contiguous, uninterrupted strip from one end of the mat to the other. Otherwise it tends to peel up at the edges. Tried reusing the strips between one workout session and another with meh results. Good product overall, your mileage may vary depending on implementation.
Make sure you put it on correctly.

Don't overstretch it when putting it down. If you are trying to use for multiple days, you want to ensure you don't stretch it. Stretching it can cause premature lift of the tape, causing it to roll. With this tape, it is very elastic and if you don't stretch it, it flexes, but doesn't roll. Which makes it so much better. We use it on mats that are used for BJJ and have no issues of roll up when the tape is applied correctly.
Works on mats place on rugs.

Kept my sectional workout mats on my rug together nice and tight. Used to always have issues with seperations.

Not sure if it was a compatibility issue or not but this tape didn't stick very well to my mats. I have tatami texture mats so that may be part of the issue. Regardless it didn't work for me.
