Worth the money. Spiral and "tube" black nights do not compare to this product.

If you are have the funds, invest in the LED black lights!! I hosted a Black Light (AKA GLOW Party) in my basement. I purchased one of these LED bars, 4 spiral fluorescent light bulbs (for the lights in my ceiling fan), and two 20W fluorescent bulbs with case.
The LED backlight out performed the spirals and the tube 20W black lights. One bar sufficiently lit up a space of 25 x 13 ft. The LED bar offered more light and the party favors/decorations (that were designed to be UV reactive) had a more intense glow effect.
This bar can be mounted to a wall. I chose to sit the light on top of a hutch and angle it down slightly. The light was used for at least 8 hours straight. Only down side to this product is the cord. If you wish to mount the light high up on a wall, you will need an extension cord. The description clearly spells out the length of the cord, so I knew I would need an extension.
The light was well wrapped and protected during shipping as well.
*Note* When I refer to the "spiral" fluorescent bulbs, these are the bulbs that screw into a light fixture. When I mention the "tube" light, I mean the long, round tube shaped fluorescent black light bulbs that come in their own "housing" or mount.
If you are throwing a black light/Glow party, pull up You Tube and do some research before purchasing anything.

I was hired to dj a glow party but wasn't sure if I had enough black lights to cover the large room. I bought an expensive, professional uv light the same time that I bought two of these led uv lights. I wanted to compare the two side by side to see which lights were brighter and gave more coverage. Testing at night in my driveway, from 40' away the led lights were much brighter than the 400 watt UV Cannon that I bought. I was so impressed that I bought two more of these led lights. In these pictures I am using 1 UV Cannon and 4 of these lights spread around the room. I'll probably buy 4 more.
I put them on the floor in my living room with the lights off at night and they worked great! I did not have to black out/cover up ...

I bought two of these for a glow party I had for my daughter. I put them on the floor in my living room with the lights off at night and they worked great! I did not have to black out/cover up the windows. These do cast a purple light over everything so I am not sure if this is a true black light but the glow balloons and makeup I ordered all lit up as did anything white in the room.

I was reluctant to buy an LED black light. I had negative experiences with black light incandescent bulbs and some CFLs. This one is great. Nice and wide projections, a great effective range (although I still would buy several if I wanted to really dose a room in black light). Further, this one does not get as hot as my old one. The cord is a tad short but has an on-off switch which I prefer instead of on the housing. Everything about the build seems sturdy and long lasting.
