I purchased this to check the alignment of a newly installed cartridge and was pleased to find the alignment was dead on. It is a very useful tool to have to check and maintain proper alignment of phono cartridges. I recommend it!

It had been awhile since I'd even thought about alignment on my Technics Quartz Diect Drive SL Q3. I was able to get some great tips for this whole process off the internet and when all was done...Herb Alpert "Rise" album sounded perfect..it really did. Cleaning and alignment...the two must dos for vinyl record fidelity.

Not sure if this thing is necessary. Didn't have to adjust either of my cartridges. (2 Turntables.) I think if you just make sure the edge of the cartridge is parallel to the end of the mount, you're good to go, but what do I know?! ;-)

Installing your turntable phono cartridge is quick and pain free with this stylus adjusting aid. It helps you get it right the first time. The instructions will have to downloaded. They do not come with the stylus adjusting tool.

The idea behind it is OK. It's strong suite is that it will stand-up to storage without getting folded or crumpled.
The things I didn't like are:
1.) The spindle hole was too small; I had to ream it out to make it fit.
2.) The alignment markings were not user friendly. Too wide, and black would be better than white. The mirror sounds good, but the double image of the alignment marks made it harder to see. Over-all, it was difficult to use as an alignment reference.
I ended up printing an alignment template from an internet source, and used it instead. The sharp black edge of a thin line is much easier to interpret as parallel/not parallel to the cartridge body. I might even glue it onto this tool.
