These floor protectors are life savers!! We've tried the felt pads...yeah, they're not so great. One, they don't seem to stay on; and two, with our 2 cats, they seemed to attract a ton of animal hair. But these floor protectors have stayed on with no problem at all!! And they are not a 'cat hair magnet' like the felt was. Love them!! I use them for our kitchen island chairs, our office desk chair, and our counter top stools. Perfect!!

I originally used a different brand of these floor protectors, but one fell off & was lost when moving and since you can't buy just one, I needed to purchase a new set. I love the option of different shapes and that you get 16 per package for a set of four chairs. I purchased the square ones and they fit perfectly even though the chair legs are a little angled. Super simple to install and the chairs glide over the hardwood floors without scratching.

They're kinda ugly but they work well. I was using the sticky felt pads prior to these and they would never stay on my chairs. The sticky felt pads would come off then get all this sticky residue on my hardwood floors along with being a magnet for dog hair (german shepherd). I was contemplating put the nail in felt pads on but didn't want to de-virginize my chairs because they are antiques. Saw these cap style ones and decided to give it a shot. They work well, they stay on the feet even when sliding the chair while sitting in it. Overall I would buy again.

My chair legs are square, 1.25" (or 1 1/4") wide by long. The square set fit them perfectly. The back legs of my chairs slant a little bit and it still worked fine. My chairs are a very dark espresso color on the wooden parts - and this does not detract from the look. You have to really LOOK at the bottoms to notice them. I'd say they are 80-90% see through. They also stay ON and they slide so easily and quietly. Thank you! Love them!
OK, but not for all types of legs

They protect the floor efficiently. But they do not stick well to chair legs that are not entirely straight. Our chair legs are slightly rectangular in diameter and get thicker from the floor upwards. We had to glue the protectors to the legs. But the glue does not hold for long since nithing really holds well on silicon.
