So excited to get the glass kit, shipping was fast. However It seemed like the wheel didnt make contact with the bottle as it should. Never got a full bottle cut after after 15 bottles or so. Follow instructions. Just label as a loss and moved on to my next project.

Followed the instructions that came with the cutter and had success with the first three bottles I cut. Comes with a nice sheet of sanding paper. Well put together and only needed to adjust the cutter. Use a propane torch to go over the score line 2 or 3 fairly qick rotations. If you hear the glass go "tink", then stop and submerge in bucket of cool tap water. I just twisted the neck of the bottle with one hand while submerged and the glass separates in a second or two. Wear eye protection and gloves.

A+ ..simple design that works like a charm! Opened the box, read the quick directions, adjusted the blade, easily assembled the metal guide, heated some water in a pan, scored 8 beer & 1 large wine bottle, used the hot then tap water method & met with 100% success! I had previously purchased a bottle cutter (scorer) from a local craft store chain & met with many many disasters ..it was very very disappointing. The Up-cycle easy cut bottle cutter put a big smile on my face! Make sure that you read the simple directions first, get an even score line, don't use too much heat as this will create splits and shattered edges. It took only a few quick minutes to smooth the edges using the inclosed sandpaper ..just wonderful!

I have cut three bottles so far with excellent results. First time I used boiling/cold water from sink method on a bbq sauce bottle. 2nd and 3rd time used a heat gun/cold water in a bucket method on a wine bottle and a vinegar bottle. Heat gun method seems to be easier for me.
The cutter I think is well made and sturdy. Nice cardboard box to keep everything together which I do appreciate. I am sure as time goes on I will wish there was something different about it but for now it works exactly as I hoped.

I purchased this bottle cutter to cut large wine bottles and large & small beer bottles, it worked great for both sizes. The adjustable slider made it easy to switch between whatever size of bottle I was cutting. I will definitely recommend this product to all my crafty friends & family looking for a good quality glass bottle cutter.
