The instructions were explicit and informative, but you might want to include a note about the heating times may differ due to the thickness of the glass. I. E. To much heating can result in excessive cracking, and how far the heat gun should be from the item/bottle when your applying heat. Other than that, I still highly recommend the product.

I was blown away when I opened the packaging on this product. Not only was the bottle/glass cutter sturdy, it was beautiful. The base looks like stained and finished wood about 1/2" to 3/4" thick! (It's not, it's laminate but it looks really nice). The heating tool is not some flimsy little thing but a full sized product.

Bottle cutter works quite well after a few minor adjustments of blade position. Great separation using heat tool and trickle of cold water. Could have included better instructions but plenty of videos on iTunes to clarify

I have had a few whiskey bottles I have wanted to convert to glasses for quite some time now. This worked great! I will caveat that by mentioning you should definitely watch some videos on how to use it properly, I found the paper instructions to not be super great and had a few moments that failed.
One other thing I would recommend if you decide to buy is to get some better quality sand paper, the one provided works okay but you can find much better versions at your local hardware store. And something they dont go into really is you should aim to start with the 80 grit but move you way to 600 grit to ensure a solid polish your new glass.
It would have been fantastic if they included more grit stepping points and higher quality to ensure you get a really amazing looking glass.
One other thing I would recommend if you decide to buy is to get some better quality sand paper, the one provided works okay but you can find much better versions at your local hardware store. This is the second glass cutter I have purchased (trying different ones out). I changed my rating from a 3 to a 5 for the cutter itself. The cutter itself is a simple design, pretty understandable instructions and easy to use once you get your settings for what you are cutting. I do wish in the instructions would advise the type of bottles can be cut, like square etc. Compared to my other one, the wheels on this one rotate much smoother which to me allows for a more smoother cut. You may need to adjust the actual cutter so it reaches the bottle and I used a test beer bottle playing around on the more appropriate height in what I was doing. Works pretty good so far. NOW this is where I was going to give this a little bit different rating. The heating gun this comes as a part of this kit, I strongly recommend removing the cover if you are using for any length of time (more than a minute) or multiple bottles. I think including the gloves as part of the kit would have been better and optional heat gun. Just sayin....
