Contour Roller Mouse Free 3 Wireless, Ergonomic Mouse, 8 customize buttons, 10 DPI Settings
Maganda70✓ Verified PurchaseFebruary 14, 2024
The contour wireless roller mouse is very easy to use. I did not have to spend a lot of time reading the manual. I just un packed it from the box and ready to use. Very easy to hook up. It is a little pricey though. But my company paid for it.
You won't be disappointed

Works as intended. Has some issues with Drivers. But the drivers are not needed unless you want to change button actions for multiple programs. We don't have this need. Roller mouse is great for reducing repetitive injuries you could have from traditional mouse design. The style of mouse has a small learning curve. But after a week it becomes very intuitive and you find yourself having some difficulty going using a traditional mouse.
Overall unique and good, but steep price

2021 Update - 4 Years later.

I bought this in 2017 and I'm still using it in 2021. It's the most comfortable mouse for me to use at work and I'm looking to buy one for my home computer as well. (Before I couldn't really justify the cost as I didn't use my home PC nearly as much, but these days I'm using it more.)

Still love the roller bar cursor and the middle scroll bar. Both work very well with either hand and I don't get fatigues as easily when using a trackball mouse or a traditional mouse.

Something I really enjoy is that the mouse is right under the keyboard, meaning switching from using the mouse and using the keyboard is a lot more seamless than having to move my right hand off the keyboard and on the mouse than back. I simply have to shift my grip a little down and then go back up to keep typing.

The biggest grip is that this thing is impossible to completely clean. You can get the bulk of it with a wet wipe on the exterior and using canned air between the roller bar and its housing, but it's hard to get in there with a brush or anything. I would've loved to see a feature where we could remove the bar and clean the mouse completely before popping it back in.

Overall - I completely recommend this product if you notice you're suffering from hand fatigue. You'll feel fatigue eventually, but it's a lot more balanced and natural than most mice on the market. Though it was expensive, I can say it was worth the cost.

----original review-----

This is a very unique mouse that doubles as a wrist rest for when you type. For me personally, there was no learning curve at all. It's almost easier to use than my regular mice. If you don't know how this mouse works, the "rollerbar" at the top moves your cursor around while there are dedicated buttons for left/right/double click and a scroll wheel. There are also dedicated copy/paste and back/forward buttons as well.

It's very comfortable to use and I haven't had much of an issue with my cursor jumping around while I type. It'll move around a bit, but since I'm not clicking anything it's no big deal just to move it back and continue working.

I think the biggest draw of this mouse is that you can use it with both hands quite easily. My wrist does eventually get tired when using it, so I'll alternate between hands to prevent fatigue. I'm not sure how different it'll be for left handed users, but using this mouse with my non-dominant hand was easy, so I can't imagine it'll be too difficult for lefties.

It's a very expensive device, but I justified my purchase by telling myself that carpel tunnel will be more expensive to deal with. I did take off a star because you do feel fatigue eventually, and for the price I would expect to never have fatigue (maybe this is unreasonable, but I dished out $270 for this). And also the price - even if it's cheaper than carpel tunnel, $270 is $270. I would also like to see an option to reprogram some of the buttons. It is plug and play, and I haven't had an issue using this on Windows 10, 7 or Ubuntu 16.04.
Helps with Wrist Pain

This product does help with wrist pain. The double-click key and the copy and paste shortcut keys make things very convenient. The scroll down roller is the best I have ever used and the mouse bar is precise and fast. It also acts as a keyboard rest since this product has flaps on which you sit the keyboard.
That being said, I don't use this product exclusively. I have a vertical mouse on the left (I am a righty but because of wrist pain, I learned to use a mouse with my left hand), and a rollerball on the right. This is in the middle. My hands/wrists get tired from this too rather quickly, but here's the key: it allows me to change the muscles I am using so that by changing things up when I need to, my wrist pain has been alleviated a lot.
On the downside, the keyboard sits in front of this product so as I type, it's easy to press something on this product by mistake. I would be typing and then oops, the cursor will do something crazy. The weirdest one was when the printer started printing a document I was working on. I don't even know how that happened.
All in all I only use this product intermittently through the day but it's just enough of a break for my muscles when I need it and I feel much better at the end of the day with this.
Great Mouse

I have been using the wired Roller Mouse Pro 2 for over five years. It takes some getting used to but it really helps with fatigue when you use a mouse most of the day. This new model is wireless which is a nice improvement.
