This is the best of the best for packing my son's lunch. I use to put Ziploc baggies of ice in his lunch box to keep refrigerated items cold because the little freezer packs would never make it back home. Now, I put his lunch pack in the freezer at night and his cold items stay fresh and cold for him without the hassle of putting ice in little baggies.

The cold pack only stayed cold for 2 hours. Not nearly as long as promised in product description. This is the second Pack-It I've purchased and I had the same experience with both. Save your money and look elsewhere. Most disappointing part is that I want to support and company that manufactures without lead, phlatlates, and PVC.

I love this lunch box. This is our second one (the last one lasted for an entire school year PLUS 3 weeks of day camp). It's genius because you just wipe down the inside and put it into the freezer each night. Boom. (I am a maniac about keeping food cold for lunches and this one does not disappoint.) It's soft when thawed, but firms up nicely when frozen and really retains it's shape well.
Unlike some of the other Pack It products, this one is really shaped like a classic lunch box, so you can fit your various-sized containers into it with ease. Bento box? No problem.
I also love the outside zipper pocket for napkins, spoon, fork or granola bar for afterschool!
