Great idea, but.....

This is an absolutely great idea for a dog that needs a bandage without lots of cushioning. Wrapping a dog's foot takes some know-how and a great deal of patience, so this is a great alternative if the wound doesn't need cushioning. HOWEVER: they package these inside-out, and the paper is easily torn, so turning them right-side out isn't easy. ALSO: The non-stick pad is only attached on one long side of the inside booty, so getting a paw into it without wiggling the non-stick pad to the point where it's not covering the wound can be a challenge. I still use these, and they're still great, but bear in mind they could be made lots easier to use.
Great idea - probably not best for most cats though.

I needed to bandage a wound on my cats paw. For one person, it was tough to hold him still and properly bandage the paw as the vet showed me (non stick pad layer, then gauze wrap, then cast padding, followed by vet tape layer)... so i though these would be an easier alternative.
The pawflex certainly were easier to prepare and apply - and are a great idea. I did not have problems turning the bandage inside out to use, and the sizing recommendations were accurate... They are also good in that they protect the paw, but are still allow the area to 'breathe'.
But I know now using them on cats is a poor application. Cats are notorious for not tolerating anything on their paws... My cat was able to shake the bandages off within minutes, even putting them on firmly and securing with vet tape.
I would recommend if these for temporary bandages (quick trips outside) and more for dogs.

We use these daily for our lab that has a melanoma on the bottom of her paw. They seem to fit her the best as we tried several. A little on the pricey side, but will continue to use for our sweet lab! ðŸ¾
