Good in theory, but the execution/design of this Vive finger splint is lacking, unfortunately

As I've been using this I do not wear it 24/7....I take great care with it, and still, the velcro is losing its ability to adhere. It's described as having strong velcro, but the teeth of the velcro strap (actually I should describe it as a strip....because the word "strap" lends itself to making this splint sound stronger than it is, smh) are losing the ablity to grip. Very aggravating when I take care to place this on my middle left hand finger and then realize in a matter of minutes is flopping around. I can undo and tighten it thus using a spot on the vecro that is "unused' but doing so requires tightening the velcro strip to the point of discomfort. The stenosis creates enough discomfort without adding to the issue. I think it was suggested that a user adjust and tighten the strip, and then simply slip the entire splint onto the finger---but that means that we users (and customers) are having to make up for a design flaw, which considering the price, is rather unfair. In trying to decide how best to use it to benefit myself via keeping my finger straight, I've had to adjust it at times, have had to move it.....but it's not a constant undo and redo situation. In the back of my mind, I do think about the faults of it....alongside the actual price of it, and of course I want it to last.......I need it to last....and I do NOT use it on my dominant right hand, i'm using it on my left hand middle finger.....but still, doggone, it's beginning to come undone. Another issue, other than the velcro is the length of the lightweight aluminum piece incorporated into the design. I have small hands/short fingers.......a petite persons hands-----yet the aluminum simply isn't long enough. To have made it a little bit longer, would help. I've had to devise an additional non permanent velcro strap to literally tamp down the extended aluminum piece--for the cost of your splint, an optional vecro strap that could be removed at will would have been a nice afterthought. Smh.. Now I'm facing having to add yet some variation/an extra piece somehow to the top, or a rubber band or something to the top to keep the original strap fastened....it's useless to my finger if I don't figure out something. I'm going to have to try another brand and desigh, or just give up and return to a popsicle stick stretch bandage splint.......which I disliked to the poiont of being driven to finally shop online and find better. Literally having to bind your finger is frustrating---what's a person to do if their budget is nil, and their primary care insurance lacking? I can't afford a steroid injection, and certainly can't deal with having surgery on my finger.
Great splint and secures comfortably.

I bought this for my index finger - I think too much "scrolling" has caused overuse soreness. This little splint is perfect. Softly padded and secures easily for a good fit. It stays in place for hours. I wear it in the opposite position from the picture. It's my knuckle that's sore, and I want to prevent bending it, so the straight piece placed under the knuckle prevent me from bending the finger in the middle.
It's just what I hoped for. Recommend it.

Comfortable but not really stable

This splint is supposed to stabilize your joints so you can't bend them. Mine fits comfortably, but I can still bend the joint ( joint #1, at my finger and hand) 30 to 40' which I don't consider being stable. I've also had to literally tape it to my palm to keep the base part in place and not flopping around. Wish they came in sizes. That may help. This product was recommended by my surgeon, so I'm sure it works on his other patients.
Love this!

This works! I have been using a carpal tunnel splint while sleeping, but still wake up in the middle of the night with pain in the palm of my hand and ring finger. For now this is the best option for my trigger finger which I have had since October 2016. It is comfortable to wear and is much better than the carpal tunnel splint. I haven't had pain in the middle of the night since using this. It works for me!!
Update 9/12, this is a miracle worker for me. My trigger finger is improving daily and I used to have spasms in my hand, pain in the palm of my hand, pain in my ring finger that was excruciating to even try to move it. My pain is tolerable and can't say enough good things about this splint. I only wear it at night. Before using this I was facing surgery, which at some point I may have to do but not yet. Hopefully my issues will be resolved 100%. We'll see.

Small problems

This was actually for my boyfriend and he would rate it higher except for the following...
It is working pretty well but the Velcro edges of the part that goes around the finger bends and it scratches; as well as the bottom most part of the splint which makes it curl up.
