My neighbors cat had decided that my red wood-chip side yard was going to be his new bathroom and NOTHING I did was stopping this pain in the butt feline from dropping a nightmarish amount of stinky land mines next to my house. I tried all kinds of sprays and powders and nothing worked for more than a day or so. It was so bad, i couldn't even open the windows on that side of the house because of the stench and the neighbor would do nothing to stop it. I like animals and i know it's not the cat's fault so I didn't want to do anything bad to it but I was running out of options until I found this baby!
I already knew I was going to modify it a little but it was exactly what I needed! I removed the sprinkler head and replaced it with a 1/4" irrigation connector, then ran 1/4" tubing to strategic places around the yard and attached misters at the ends. Now when the cat comes into the yard, the misters turn on and basically cover the whole area in a fine mist, not only deterring the cat, but also watering all my plants at the same time. The water only stays on for about 3 seconds and scares off all animals without blasting them in the face.
After setting it up, it was only a couple hours before I caught the cat on the security cam trying to do his business. To my delight he approached with slow caution as I had just changed out all the chips so he was being a bit cautious. He didn't trigger the motion sensor until he was well within the 'blast radius' and when those misters clicked on, he jumped about 5 feet into the air from mid squat, sending wood chips flying everywhere.
He then immediately walked over and pooped on my front walkway where there was no motion sensor.
On the good side, it's been a month and not one poop on my redwood chips and fortunately, he hasn't done his business anywhere else that I know of either. But if he does, I know exactly what I'm going to buy! My yard and my nose thank you!

The first one of these I bought in February, 2017, is still working. However, the one I bought 3 months ago (May, 2017) only worked for a month or two and now doesn't work. Expensive for only 30-60 days worth of product.

When we first noticed it wasn't going off, we tested/changed batteries 3 times. It would activate once when we locked the batteries in place and then, nothing. Of course it worked for the first 30 days of warranty, now I don't have the option to send it back so there's $40 down the toilet. I can't recommend buying this product on the off chance you'll get one that keeps working, it's too much money for that.

Alright, I will admit I bought this one for fun, as another Hoont product helped neutralize our opossum problem. Still if we turn it off, or the batteries run out, we get squirrels and random critters come to eat berries that fall off a branch from my neighbor's tree. Boy did we have fun with this cobra! Lol. Simply connect it to your Hose, but on batteries, and wait to see the surprised uninvited critters get when they cross the sensor in the cobra hahaha. No chemicals, noises, or strobe lights, just a powerful, yet safe water spray!!!! Hahaha to this thing is effective and a lot of fun.

One of the many things I absolutely need for our new place! The birds are extremely annoying here!! Every time the kids go in the back yard they mess with them, flying close to them and chasing them. I had enough! I said these birds need to be "get gotted"! Yall I set this up in the back yard, and sat and waited, every bird that would land, the water would spray them and they'd fly away. I am not seeing much of them anymore! So it's definitely working! This will get me a bird free yard! (You do have to assemble it, but it's super east, and you need a water hose or access to water nearby for this)

Holy cow does this thing have sensitivity at level 9.....loooove it!! Neighborhood loose cats will feel the wrath soon.......LOL. tired of the spraying and poo they leave......I will move it every few days so they do not "learn" how to avoid it!! Ordered another for my backyard too........thanks Amazon for having this for us as a humane way to ward off pesky critters!

Another usage: If you have a fence, and neighbors' dogs cannot shut up against it, put it several feet away from the fence, and their motion against the fence, seen in the fence spacing, starts the unit, and wham.....no doggie, no barkie....respectful quiet restored.

So I've had this several months now.....changed batteries twice due to neighborhood kitties that try to enter...and to having to adjust it....level 2 works best..why? Because if within 3 feet of falling or waving leaves, leaves and wind chimes make it go off on a windy day......adjusted location and sensitivity. Be ready for you water bill to go up if city, mine went up by about $7 because I have 2 units, backyard and front. Did have to tighten all the fittings, as leaks were evident. All is well. Love the protection, my yard smells great from no cats spraying!!
