These crates were a huge timesaver for us when we needed to transport our broilers to the processor. We could easily fit six or seven 7lb chickens inside. We used to transport our chickens to the processor in dog crates then switch them over to their poultry crates upon arrival. We won't have to do that anymore!

I bought this for chickens and it arrived just in time for our county fair. I was so grateful to have this because it was really easy to use. It only took my husband about 7-8 minutes to put it together and we put 6 chickens in it with room to spare. The sliding door on top is very handy, although you need to push it back and forth a few times so that it will slide easily in the beginning. I liked it because I was able to leave it partway open and our smaller birds didn't escape while we were getting the others to put in the crate.
It's very thick, durable plastic and I'll be ordering another one to use next year because I'll have another kid in 4H by then.
