In case you're looking for a longer pad, this one is only 17.25", NOT 17.5".
Also, to say that the pad is "extra thick" is nonsense because most pads are the same thickness AND much cheaper!
If you want the same quality and thickness, but that's actually 17.5" and at nearly half the price, go with the Fragraim Squat Pad. I got the red one and every other measurement is the same.

As a guy who has been lifting a long time, I have always wanted to step outside my comfort zone and do heavy hip thrusters. Once I got over the awkwardness of being seen doing them, I also realized how uncomfortable they are on the hip bones and pelvic area. This pad works great, and even allows protection when lifting heavy weights as well. Furthermore, I read a post above with a guy saying this is good for hip thrusters, but pad too wide for squats. I disagree 100%. I also find this to be the best pad I ever used for heavy squats as well. Most pads are too flimsy and move around alot. This one allows you to center the pad with the bar, and tighten the grip with the attached loops with velcro to tighten grip. Padding is comfortable, protective, but not too burdensome or bulky. Would recommend 100%.

I chose this product because it is slightly thicker that other I have considered. It has provided the much needed padding I was looking for, on my 61 year old shoulders, as do my squat routine. Haven't used it for the Hip Thrusters yet but I am sure it will perform just as well for that.
