This ladder is very good. It has an incline which makes ingress and egress from the pool much easier than a verticle ladder. Construction is sturdy and assembly is easy. The only flaw is it's design for removal from a deck when winter comes. You either need to 1. Remove the 8 screws that hold the ladder to your deck, or 2. Remove the 4 screws from the verticle " arms" , Removing the 8 screws could be problematic as subsequent installations would/could weaken the wood holding power, and changing the location of the ladder would leave screw holes. When removing the 4 upright screws, this results in leaving the uprights on the deck for winter months. I believe this to be problematic as water can get in the uprights unless they are covered, thus possible splitting from ice/snow. Also potential weakness could occur in the plastic uprights over time by using the same 4 holes when reinstalling. Would give 5 stars but feel the design reduces rating.
