The harness was a good color and well made, however, the sizing was too unreliable. My dog is a skinny mutt (51lbs lab/doberman/whippet mix) with a barrel chest, and his chest circumference is almost 32" - so a medium would have been too small according to their measurements. The large, where his chest range fell, was so big that I could not adjust it small enough to stay snug in him, and he actually slipped out of it on its smallest adjustment. Luckily, this happened indoors, so he couldn't bolt like he would have outside. I understand that dog sizing is difficult, but if you are using actual inches as guidelines, that is what the measurements should answer to. I ended up giving this to a friend with a larger dog. There are much better options out there to fit dogs with atypical proportions.

I am a Blueberry Pet fangirl, and this harness is just as excellent as their other products. I like the design of this and it worked really well. "Worked" because alas, it is not chew proof (nor did I expect it to be). The harness was left on the dog (6 month old lab/shepherd mix) overnight, and he chewed through one of the side straps. So, we are replacing it .. with ... you guessed it, another Blueberry Pet harness. This time, it will only be on him when being used for walking, etc. The quality of the harness is very good, but it's not bullet (teeth) proof. I share the story as a caution to not leave the harness on when not being supervised if you have a "chewer". Lesson learned.

My pup is still trying to get used to it, sometimes it makes her itch- the little melted plastic bits attaching the pieces. She pulled out of it yesterday, which was worrisome, and it's a little top heavy- so even when it's properly fitted, the top still starts to slide to the side (as seen in the pic). Might be better for a heavier built, thicker dog. I do really like the blueberry products though, and will probably try another one of their harnesses once she grows out of this one.

This harness is handsome and well made, and would have rated a full 5 stars if not for one glaring problem: it will not hold its adjustment. My dog is only 9 months old, so I purchased a harness with some room to grow. When I used the adjustment sleeves to shorten the two loops by several inches so that it would fit her properly, the sleeves would loosen immediately in the first few hundred yards of our walk, to the point where the harness would rotate around her body and even pull off if she struggled a little bit. After this happened several times, I got out needle and thread and sewed the two sides of the loops together, about an inch from where they pass through the side rings. This completely solved the problem, but of course I'll have to redo it a few times as the dog grows, which is a PITA.
Possibly the adjustment sleeves will work better when the harness is expanded closer to its 'full size'. We'll see. As I said, it's a great harness otherwise, as you can tell by the fact that I took the time to sew on it rather than just return it.

The webbing is good and strong, but like other reviewers have said, the plastic sliders that are to keep the harness from loosening up slide around. By the end of the walk, the harness is totally loose and I have to readjust it every time. Too late to send it back because we've used it several times. It also doesn't do a thing for pulling.
