After a month of playing the whistle in D, I wanted to try the whistle in C. This Clarke Original C Whistle is identical or nearly so, to its more popular sibling, the Clarke Original D Tinwhistle. Of course it is a tone down. Since I can only hit D+ I can't say much about the higher range. Buy a whistle in the key of D if this is your first whistle. I like the buzzier sound of the Clarke original. Others like a purer tone. The breath needed is not too much. This 200th Special version has been polished up and has a nice badge - worth $10 more .. maybe .. I bought it. ps. Although trite, I found I like more than I would have thought that my D whistle is in black and my C whistle is metallic silver :)
