Easy to assemble, looks great and appears sturdy - Time will tell.

Was expecting it to be cheaper materials. It very sturdy and has good quality.

It's very sturdy and made of nice looking wood. The folding design works really well. But there were a couple of pieces that were damaged when I got them and are rough enough to splinter, and one large chunk had chipped off the end of the four position back support arm. Plus I was short two dowels (can be worked around). Those are the reasons I didn't give it a five, mostly the splintering and the chip. Perhaps more padding is needed in the packaging. It wasn't awful to put together. I've put together a ton of furniture items and this was average or better as far as construction. I'm happy with the purchase, despite the minor flaws.

This is really cool. It adjusts to be a bed, lounger, or couch. We put a queen size memory foam tri-fold mattress on it and the 2 work really well together in my guest room. People may fight over getting to sit on this! We have slept on it ourselves a few nights to test it out, and the lounger config is comfy for reading or watching movies. I just wish the backrest of the lowest lounger position was a _little_ less steep, for sleeping upright at a more comfortable position, more like a recliner. Maybe I can get the husband and sons to see if they can play with customizing the frame to add one more incremental position. However, overall this frame is great to have.

Another consideration- the frame is only rated to hold up to 400 lbs., and that includes the mattress. Our memory foam choice doesn't weigh as much as regular mattresses or traditional futon mattresses. But still, if couples will be using this, then some couples will go over the 400 lb limit, when considering the total weight. Also, if 3 people wanted to sit on it as a couch to watch movies etc.

It is a limitation. It is rather awkward to have to think about taking the frame partially apart and putting the mattress on the ground when we have company that would be over the limit. But if done before they arrive, the frame could be put away and not mentioned, it's just that it isn't as nice to have to sleep on the floor. Still better and cheaper than having to get a hotel though!
