I bought an excellent sound card for my PC. I had a set of EV SonicXS 4.1 Surround Sound speakers that could shake the room. Then something happened and my speakers needed to be rebuilt or something. So, I bought a Logitech 2.1 speaker system. The Logitech speakers that put out at least a couple of hundred watts. Boy, did they sound good! But they were missing something....depth. You know...the "oomph"! I saw this Nobsound pre-amp with TUBES and I recalled an audiophile friend who always told me that he preferred the old school amps and receivers that had the vacuum tubes in them. He said something in missing in the music processed through a "solid state" receiver when compared to the older types with the vacuum tubes, which provided a "truer, more robust sound."
Well the little in-line box from Nobsound made a believer out of me. Running iTunes through this little pre-amp makes the music sound so much more "crisp"...with instruments I have never heard before, even though I had heard that same song a thousand times. There is a lot more "body" when I listen....the music is just THERE...alive...louder, but with less distortion. And the way this box can push sound through my headphones...it's like my headphones are now on steroids. I am ordering the premium tubes that go with this box, but let me be clear...I have ZERO complaints about the sound this pre-amp puts out. I am buying it on recommendation from a review I read. This little box should bring your sound back to life! 5/5 stars

Totally Amazing Little Pre-amp!! I hooked it up to a Mini Zvex HiFi Tube Power Amp and ran it into a $40 Sony DVD Player.Sounds comes through my small Infinity bookshelf speakers...

Bought this to add volume, bass, and treble control to my Adcom Amp. The sound is very clean and it works like a champ. I bought the upgraded tubes and so far, it's been working just fine. It adds a little warmth without coloring the sound. I'm running a turntable and an iPhone into this and both sound great. I like that this amp is simple and has exactly what I need without anything extra. For the money, I think it's a great value and I would buy it again.

I originally wrote a very favorable review for this little amp after enjoying its sound quality when connected to my Topping TP22 amp. Now it's dead after only 5 uses. I tested plugging in to different outlets (no luck) and swapping out the tubes, and found that if I removed the tube on the right side then some of the LEDs came back on, but it still wouldn't pass sound through. I should have listened to the reviews from other buyers that had similar issues but my impulsiveness got the better of me. This is a cheap, Chinese made device that looks cool but is really poorly engineered, thus the bottom barrel pricing. Do yourself a favor and pass over this for something from a reputable brand.

Bought this to run from my SACD to my tube amplifier. My amp has only volume control so the bass & treble controls are great plus the additional gain is nice. The sound is more open, fuller and richer sounding. I did purchase the upgraded tubes at the same time and I'm quite pleased with this little gem.
