I was super impressed with all the improvements in the new Biocube

I have owned the "old" Biocube with the CF lighting for several years. Was time to upgrade. I was super impressed with all the improvements in the new Biocube. The LED lighting and built in timers are awesome...and the unit runs whisper silent now, unlike the old fan that cooled the CF lights. In fact, I like this unit so much I'm thinking of buying a second one to keep in my office at work.
Great tank

This is easily the best and most well thought out tank I've ever owned. Filtration and heating are completely hidden in the three chambers in the back.

One of the things that always annoyed me about other tanks I've owned is the constant sound of splashing water. This tank is completely silent while still having strong water movement in the tank itself.

The lighting is good enough for corals, too, which is a huge bonus.
Excellent all-in-one with room to grow

I love this tank. The built in three chamber sump in the back is great and really allows a clean, convenient tank. The included media rack allows flexibility for the 2nd chamber (can run media, custom ATS, refugium, etc).

The LEDs and programmability are really nice for this price point of an all-in-one tank.

I wasn't sure about the frame and lid given the popularity of rimless tanks but so far I really like it. The lid really reduces any sound and evaporation. It will also help with dartfish and some others that might like to jump out.

Overall, a very well thought out package.
I am in love with it

I set up my Coralife Biocube 32 a couple of weeks ago. I am in love with it. The glass is nice and thick. The pump is very quiet. The LEDs are beautiful. I tried to program the lights without the instructions and got confused. I had inadvertently set the light programming to a 24 hour clock instead a 12 hour clock. But, once I took a minute to read the instructions, it all made sense. The filtration area in the back of the aquarium has plenty of space for your hand to fit down in there and modify the filtration system, in the event that you want to add some sponges, carbon or Bioballs. I also got the Coralife skimmer, but have not yet put it in. I am so pleased with the aquarium that I am going to buy my sister one for Christmas.
Loving My Biocube!

My Biocube 16 has only been up and running for 3 months but so far, I am thrilled with the results. I have not made any modifications to mine. I am approaching my Reef experience with a "Keep It Simple,Stupid" attitude. I do a 10% water change every 1-2 weeks and try to avoid "tinkeritis." So far, so good. I highly recommend for anyone who wants to get into Reef keeping but wants to keep things simple and low-cost.
