Installed it a day ago and it is fantastic, the picture and words are clear and are not blurry anymore.

I had bought a similar product years ago but it was super finicky and I had to plug it into an outlet. This one comes with a USB as well but, to my surprise, it works without having to plug it into a power source. Also, it doesn't cause the picture to be dark like the other one did. I like that the cord was simply plug and play. This hdmi ps2 conversion kit includes the converter, a micro USB cable to power the converter, and some basic instructions. Upon installation one thing I did not like about this product, was the displacement of its weight. After being plugged in, the converter sags, and sits at a downward angle, due to its weight. This does not effect functionality, but left more to be desired. The games look decent, but there's a lot of grain effect, blotchiness, blurriness. Overall it works, it does what it is supposed to, but I guess people are correct when saying a tv upscaling device will be needed for better picture quality when using hdmi style tv's. Games are playable, some of them even look really good, but there's a vast selection of ps2 titles that simply do not look the way they should, and this is not a result of nostalgia making you remember it looking better than it did. If you're looking to jump in right away and start playing, this hdmi ps2 converter will work for you. Do some research on upscale products, and find what works best for you. I recommend this product 9/10 for its simplicity, included micro USB to power the converter itself, and it's very affordable price point.

I bought this product because I have a PlayStation 2 hooked up to my new tv. The adapter I was using worked, but my screen was so dark and it was hard to play the games I wanted to play even with the brightness levels up to the max. If you make sure this device is hooked up right, it work's amazing. The games are no longer dark and they are brighter. 10/10 recommend!

I had an old Sharp 720 TV that I decided to start using in the bedroom, and we had an old PS2 I thought to use with it. Initially I used the standard 3-connector Red White and Yellow PS2 connectors, but the image came in blurry 720 screen, probably from upscale technology internal to the TV. I did not expect anything to upscale PS2 to 720, but just wanted the same sharpness the PS2 had on an old standard definition TV. But the standard connection was blurry and no fun to play with. I bought this PS2 to HDMI converter, and indeed it seems to have solved the problem. It yields as sharp an image as it would have had on a standard TV (where the PS2 would have been native, with no need for upscaling). This was well worth the money - getting second life out of an old 720 TV and an old PS2.
