Waste of money for small business Mac user

I run a small business and was looking for a simple scanning solution. This scanner is not plug and play for Mac. Probably not for windows. It comes with a disk that you must use to load the software. As I do not have this equipment, I cannot use this disk for setup. I searched for software online and downloaded something that was supposed to be for this model but the scanner does not work. Looking thru help, it noted that I need a Twain software / driver, tried to download this, but I get an error that there is no scanner. Scanner shows in Finder as connected. I have more than 2 hours of my time on this and the scanner does not talk to my laptop. No phone numbers shown for tech support - says to look online. Can't find anything else to look for so I'm totally down. No scanning. Doesn't sound like a scanning solution, does it?

Love this scanner! Works very quickly. Doesn't automatically detect blank pages, so I end up with a lot of extra pages. 4 stars because I'm not thrilled with the software, doesn't compare with what I had with Epson. Recommend if you need to scan a lot of pages at once.

I work in an accounting service, the company is facing the evolution of e-cabinet, we manually sync the data and documents and it's time-consuming and unorganized, not to mention when client asked for a certain tax document. I have to say the software is working fine for me, although I haven't use too much function, the image quality and speed are very good. In addition, it is very normal for the accountant to scan long paper, the long paper scanning is very well, not as expect that have too much image broken. Comparing to the price, the product value is beyond that.
I do not recommend this scanner for a small business.

Do yourself a favor and buy a different scanner. I have had this scanner for about 1 1/2 months. The scanner itself is not that bad, but the software is horrible. It does not de-skew images and there are dots on the image, etc. I've had it for a while before giving this review, to be fair. I am a CPA and I use this in my small business and it just doesn't cut it. I wish I would have spent a few more dollars and purchased a better scanner.
If you just want to scan receipts, etc. for personal purposes it would be okay. But it does not hold up to business use.
