the panels themselves are sturdy, the posts connecting them not so much. Two of them arrived bent. Plus the posts have no cushioning on the bottom (just a simple rubber plug would be helpful) so they scratch the floor if you're not diligent about lifting the whole thing carefully when moving it. We have 5 panels connected to keep the puppy off the bookshelf and the computer desk, and the other 3 to keep aforementioned puppy off the other bookshelf. It does the job but it's not perfect.

We have a new puppy at home and this creates a safe place we can keep her while we are away until she gets through the puppy teething phases. We had a baby gate style that was 2' high, but the puppy would put her paws up on the top edge and eat a hole in the wall. After doing 2 sets of sheetrock repairs, we bought this and it works great.

Gate hinges are poorly aligned making it extremely difficult to open and shut gate. For the amount of money paid, you would think it at least be easier to operate. Very poor packaging. This could be one reason the gate is a problem. I don't think I can recommend this product.

I like it because you can take it apart and make smaller units. We have a 5-sided in the family room, and a 3-sided (no door) in the bedroom. Perfect for small breed puppies. I do NOT like the fact that where we hang the water bottle, and it drips onto the metal, it's starting to rust. Now hubby has another DIY project.
