This is Great Stuff. FYI - I ordered the #1 Deck Wood Stain Stripper to use in conjunction with this company's other products, #1 Deck Wood Brightener and #1 Deck Premium Semi-Transparent Stain.

Following instructions, I used a 1gal pump sprayer to apply the Stripper to our deck, and had to spread it thinner than I would have liked, because - oops, I underestimated the amount I would need for our large deck - should have ordered 2 of these, but it all worked out just fine. When I pressure washed our deck to remove the old stain, the stain simply peeled away in a stringy mess, as the old stain lifted completely, leaving nice, bare wood. The Stripper seemed to work better on horizontal surfaces where it could penetrate more evenly, than on the vertical surfaces of the railings and posts, but I think that is to be expected with the amount I was able to apply.

I am pleased with this product, and would gladly use it again. So, I recommend it highly. I hope you found this Review helpful.

Other Thoughts - The #1 Deck Wood Brightener returned our 20yr old Deck to the color it was when the house was built - Wow.
And, the #1 Deck Premium Semi-Transparent Stain - light walnut - looked absolutely Beautiful to me, as the wood grain showed through nicely and was protected from the elements. I would also highly recommend it because it does what it says. Unfortunately for ME, my wife didn't appreciate the natural wood grain look in the same way I did, and so I stained the deck a second time with the previously used brand product to the original, more opaque look we had before. Life is short, and we both need to enjoy the deck. Staying busy around the house is a pleasure.

I applied this with a pump sprayer and followed the directions. I slightly wet the surface, then sprayed on the Deck Stripper and let it set for 30-45 minutes. Then just power washed it off with a 2700 psi power washer with a 40 degree spray nozzle and it worked perfectly! It took off a sealing stain that had been a problem for two years. Without this stripper, I could not remove the sealer. Using it, the sealer came off with no issues! Fantastic Product! Our deck is 14 years old and now looks like it's brand new! The photo shows how dark the wood was just before power washing and the lighter part is after power washing! FANTASTIC!!!
My Tips for Use:
Clean your deck with this Deck Stripper on an overcast day so the surface doesn't dry out!
Use a 40 degree spray nozzle on a good pressure washer to avoid damage to the wood.
Enjoy your deck that now looks like new!

It's not often I buy a product and it works exactly as advertised, but, this one is it!....My front porch is made of treated lumber (800 sq ft) and had 2 coats of stain applied to it, over the years...I wetted my porch, sprayed with Stain Stripper, gave it 25 minutes and hit it with my power washer....At first, nothing was happening...I got a little closer to my deck boards, and the stain flew off....Took me about 45 minutes, but I also went over everything a couple times with the power washer...I am very pleased with the results, and would recommend....Just be patient, and put in the work with the power washer, and you will achieve your desired result.

This product worked where others did not. Trying to remove opaque stain from an older deck - this stuff does work...slowly but successfully. I was spraying the remover on the deck, it wasn't until I painted it on (thick) that the stain could be removed with my power washer.

I was reluctant but decided to try it on my 16 X 20 deck. First I waited for a 60 deg day. I did not wet with water first. I wore rubber boots and sprayed 2 gallons with a pump sprayer. lightly sprayed the entire 2 gallons keeping it wet as best I could. Pressure washed it twice. I had 3 coats of semi transparent deck stain on the deck. I always pressure wash and stain every year but never stripped it. The deck is now clear of any stain. absolutly amazing. I doubt a garden hose will do as well but the stain melted off the deck. I"m a believer.
