Got this for emergency lighting in power outages. For $20, the light seems well built and I'd give it 5 stars except for one aspect of how the clear lens over the LED which is surrounded by a metal cage has a thin clear plastic wrap on the plastic. I am having to get tweezer to pull that thin plastic away. A real pain.... but once I get that off, I am very pleased with the quality of the unit. With solar charging and hand cranking.... I feel confident I will have light and the ability to do some phone charging

Wow is the best word for this. It is so much smaller than i was thinking it would be. Which is great because i would like to take it camping and would like to pack as light as possible. Speaking of light...it is bright. Just a word of caution, do not look directly at it when you turn it on. There is a hook on it so you can hang it in your tent or a nearby branch. The 2 brightness settings are more than enough. Dim, if you can call it that is bright enough for your everyday needs. PLUS this will be great in case of power outages. It does take batteries but if there are none in there not an issue. Charge the internal battery by charger or solar or crank. even comes with a car charger. What i do like is the metal cage around the light. just an added layer of protection so as to keep the case safe.

I was looking for a rechargeable lantern for emergency use. I already have 2 Coleman liquid fuel lanterns but I don't keep them filled with gas as Coleman recommends storing empty. I wanted something that was ready to use instantly. This AGPtek lantern fills the bill. It puts out plenty of light.
I guess I didn't read the specs. carefully, didn't realize this could also be charged by its solar cell as well as the built in dynamo and it can be used with disposable batteries. I'm quite pleased with this product. The price is reasonable for the number of features it has. I recommend it. I'm thinking of purchasing another one.

I bought this product back in April and wanted to test it out and actually use it for a bit before I reviewed it and said "it's amazing" after opening the package. It's a great product and for the price it'll pay for itself within a month of you go camping. Plug you phone into it in direct sunlight you have a charger or crank on it for a while then you have the same thing. My only complaints are the battery life of it about 20 to 30 minutes longer then I think I'd be satisfied and the handle feels cheap because it is just plastic. It worked great as cook eating area and even a living room light when we had a power out in June. Plus this little thing can TAKE A BEATING! I accidentally left it in the bed of my truck unsecured to anything and it rattled for 45 minutes on our way to the campsite. We've had Coleman lamps fall to pieces on us on that drive so it can take a lickin and keep on keepin. All and all this product is a very good investment for camping Bug out bag SHTF prepper types or anyone who needs a reliable latern.

I've used this little lantern just one time and it performed very well. First it takes 9 hours to charge it up the first time using the provided electric cord that goes from wall outlet to the lantern. After that you have many options, including the solar panel on top, a little crank charger on the side and a car charger. Oh and in case you forgot, it has a USB port that will allow you to charge your phone from the lantern. It provides a lot of light even on the low power setting. I arrived at my most recent campsite after dark and had to use the lantern to light up the area while I was setting up my tent in the dark. It took me quite a while to set up and I never lost power or any brightness and I'm sure this was for over an hour or two of use during the night. It's very lightweight and being an LED lantern it will get incredible energy efficiency. No telling how it will do in quality over time but for today I'm really happy with it.
