Did an amazing job at eliminating smells from my dishwasher, and at a great pice too!!!!

I bought my dishwasher 3 months ago. Approximately 4 weeks ago every time i would open the dishwasher to load it with dishes, i would get hit with an overpowering foul smell. In addition my glasses would come out of the dishwasher with white streaks. I called GE to complain, they sent an appliance repair guy to check my machine. When he came he gave me a sample of these cascade platinum dishwasher cleaner pods. I tried it and low and behold the dishwasher is like new. The bad smell is gone, and the dishes come out spotless. I promptly went to amazon to purchase more and i was surprised to find these available at such a great price. The appliance repair guy told me they cost $5 a piece, i purchased them on amazon at $10 for 8 Pieces. At this price i will use it to clean my dishwasher every 2 weeks, instead of the every 4 weeks recommended.

Everything else failed. We have a Kenmore dishwasher that works well but has always built a stale, unpleasant smell every so many cycles. Tried other products and smell is at best masked, but didn't quite go away. With Cascade, not only did the smell go away and replaced by a fresh, clean scent, but it stays fresh for many cycles. I will buy this again!

Great job cleaning my dishwasher.
Leaves a refreshing scent.
My husband kept complaining about the dishwasher smelling. Got rid of those, as well as the foul scent. (My dishwasher is pretty new) I should tell you though, this is meant for washing the actual "dishwasher" not for washing dishes.

I wish I could say this product does nothing.
What it doesn't do is clean your dishwasher.
What it does do:
It stinks up your dishwasher with "Fresh" scent that doesn't go away for several cycles afterwards, and flavors any dishes you wash during that time with fake scent.
It leaves a gooey shell of the pod in the soap dispenser cup of your dishwasher. It might dissolve away after a few washes, but I didn't leave it around to find out. After two I scraped the goo out. Yuck.
