What I like about it I love and what I dislike about it I hate
AuntA•December 24, 2017
This pen is almost a dream come true. I foster kittens from one to 12 weeks of age. I have tried many, many different enclosures and when I saw this one I nearly wept with joy. I love that it is transparent - allowing me to see the cute little fluffies capering about or getting into trouble. I love that it can be configured in so many shapes. The plastic is durable enough to withstand multiple kittens jumping or rolling against it at the same time. The area needed fluctuates constantly depending on how many kittens and their age, so the versality of this pen is sometimes literally a lifesaver: I can take in an about-to-be euthanized litter of tiny kittens because I can make an extra "emergency" pen with this product. When the kittens get large enough to jump out of the pen I can double the height. It's easy to clean, which is an absolute necessity given how many problems kittens have with illnesses and what little slobs they are. Seriously. A clear vinyl shower curtain or tablecloth makes a cheap and easy-to-clean (machine washable! It doesn't get easier than machine washable!) floor mat. The transparent walls and floor make even the largest configuration blend in with my living room - something metal or garish fabric pens can't do.
My one complaint is that if you don't use the zip ties, this thing will fall down like a house of cards. My 1.5 lb runt can easily push any panel out of any connector and leave a gap big enough for my adult cats to come in and eat their kitten food. Hammering the panels in does not help. The connectors need to hug the wire corners rather than just guide them into place. The connector walls should be slightly rounded so that a little pressure is needed to insert and remove the panels, and you hear a little click as you snap them in and out. Yes, zip ties do stabilize the panels, but when your reconfigure as much as I do they're a pain in the neck and I resent having to buy more. One shouldn't have to keep buying accessories to use a product of this type. Unfortunately zip ties are absolutely, positively, 100% necessary at both the top and bottom of the panels for the pen to be breakout-proof.
If the connectors were improved so that zip ties were no longer necessary this product would rate not only 5 stars, but as one of my all-time favorite Amazon purchases.

Bunny Approved!!

I needed a big enough playpen for my bunny to stretch his legs. I'm so glad I found this!
It came with 12 panels but I only ended up needing 6!
It also came with zip ties and a wooden mallet but I didn't need to use those either because this playpen is incredibly sturdy on its own.
It could even withstand his binkies(a binky is when a bunny gets so excited that it starts running and bouncing all over the place really fast. My bunny was literally bouncing off the walls in this pen and it stayed put!)
I also love the fact that you can see through the panels to check on your pet.
I was even able to tie up a kale toy I made at the top of his pen and it works perfectly.
He's played with it many times, even leaned on it with his paws and everything remained sturdy!
I'm glad to have such a versatile product, I'm look forward to changing the layout of his playpen soon.
If you have a bunny and you need a play pen, I'd seriously look into getting this. It is great quality and sturdy. Perfect!
**It also came with some cute decals but I don't use them because, um..... he's a bunny lol

Custom Play pen at a great price
Gglinnith Estar•December 4, 2017
I looked at metal pens and crates for my GSD puppy but for the price it didn't make sense to invest in something that wouldn't grow with my dog.
When I found this, I read the reviews. Most said that they are light weight which was my biggest concern that it would be so light my puppy would knock it over but I figured I'd give it a try.
So far I love this product. I have a small closed off area in my kitchen for her and I can keep her in my living room and out of trouble. It's just tall enough that she can't jump over it but short enough for her to peer over it. It's sturdy enough that when she puts her paw on the top edge it doesn't knock over or fall apart. I had to put some bricks by the corners to keep her from pushing it. That's seemed to fix the weight problem.
I like that it is transparent so I can see her from the kitchen and dinning room and she is less fussy when I walk to the next room because she can see me.
It comes with plenty of connectors (only pictured 8), zip ties, and a wooden mallet [that you won't really need]. It also comes with clear/black stickers that are easy to remove.
UPDATE 01/29/18: About 2 months of use. These are easily scratched, flipped (Even when ziptied), and bitten. the metal wiring bends under pressure. This worked really well for a while but my puppy quickly outgrew this. overall for the price it was a good buy.

Great playpen for rats
Ginny•November 1, 2017
I got this as a playpen for my rats. I had previoysly been using trifold boards but wanted something I could see them through. I've only had it for a few days but so far it's holding up pretty well.
The first thing I did after assembling the pen was to spray it down with bitter apple. So far my girls haven't chewed on it.
Without toys in then pen the girls can't jump out but after adding toys they did find some escape points so I added a jump guard in the area they were escaping from. Since then I've had no problems.
I look forward to seeing how it holds up over time.

Super easy to assemble, the wooden mallet was pretty useless but I didn't even need it, nor did I need the zip ties. I'm using it for my bunny, a larger animal probably would need the zip ties. The panels stay together tight and my bunny doesn't jump over and can't knock it over. Now she can run around cage free and I can still see her through the panels. Keep in mind they're not CLEAR, they're transparent white. I was able to put up the whole thing in less than 5 minutes, my bunny has more than enough space and I only used 8 of the 12 panels. This also keeps her separate from the dogs and my cat in case they come in the room and if I want to let the bunny out I can simply unattach a panel and spread it open so she can come and go.
