Great product!
DarrenApril 11, 2018
It looks and works just like advertised! I just set it up on my 2015 RAV4 and it worked just fine. I can see where closing the door on it might degrade the fabric over time. I will review again if this happens. Also, once it's on, you have to open the side doors either from the inside, or unzip both windows and reach your hand down to the handle. In future versions you might consider a Velcro slit around where the car door handle might be. Also, it would be useful for the screen to be on the outside and the solid fabric on the inside, like a real tent, so that you can Barton up from the inside without letting mosquitoes in.
You need 2
DylanOctober 4, 2017
Great item, easy to assemble, and nice carrying stuff sack. Only reason this didn't get 5 stars is because you definitely need 2 for proper airflow. We camped in 65-degree weather and it was like that scene from titanic with the steam on the windows. I had to turn the car vents on for 10 minutes to get some airflow. This should come in a set of 2 for 1.5 times the price.
Poles aren't any good, but here's a solution if you want this tent.

For those interested, these fit the rear door of Nissan Xterras (mine is a 2015).

I agree with many of the reviewers here that the poles are too rigid to really use in the vent cover. I thought I would share my solution. I had leftover 1/2" irrigation tubing (you can get it at home improvement stores) that I cut to the right length and capped with a little silver duct tape to prevent tears in the fabric. This fits in the pole pockets snugly and maintains its shape. It won't fit in the bag, but you were bringing other stuff with you camping anyways, this would be no big deal to add to the pack list. Hope this helps!
Poles broke, after it was put together and before first night of use. Disappointed

It does go onto the door pretty easily. I suspect the fabric would not resisting tears easily or last more than a few camping trips, but for the price. You get a little less than you pay for.

I have experience with tents and tent poles and these were hard to get together and bend and broke before the first night. The ends seemed to shred and disintegrate inside the connectors so there is no repair. Would not order again.
Took it home and now I am in love with this product again

I did a review just after using once and when I went to use it the second time one of the pole bent at one end and crumbled the fiberglass. I fiddled with every time after that loosing one or two inches at a time. So my engineering mind went to the hardware store to find a replacement for the poles. I had looked at an old fishing pole, but as it tapers down thought it wouldn't be strong enough so searched the Home depot. Settled in plumbing and found blue half inch flex cold water pipe. Took it home and now I am in love with this product again. I cut it to the same size the poles but left in a continuous piece and it works great. Yes it doesn't store neatly in the bag with the screen, but slide nicely along the seats in my SUV. Hope you find this helpful.
