Remarkably bright and complete kit

It's hard to believe how much light this puts out.
The button is very easy to use and LEDs indicate that it's been on and that it's charging. Nice touches.
Three levels of brightness starting from the dimmest setting are all bright.
There are some night pictures putting out light alongside car headlights. It's bright!
There are some before and after pictures. Look at the barn with and without the lights. Or the tree with and without the bike lights on them.
Interestingly includes two mounts. That's a nice bonus. I can stop trying to repair the L mount my son broke for the Victagen single light and use one from this box.
The nuts are a bit loose in the mounts so I applied some glue to affix them more permanently.
For the rear there's an adorable - and rechargeable - heart shape light my daughter tried to claim immediately. It has multi flash modes.
At this price point I don't think you're going to get more bang for the buck.
----------------
A few more comments: It is made of metal despite looking like it could be molded plastic. It's heavy duty (likely aluminum).
The batteries seem to be permanently installed.

Battery life - 1:30, not 4+ hours.

The good:
* Very bright
* Appears well-made
* USB compatible charger
The bad:
* Beam is advertised as "flat". It's not. There is no diffuser, and there's nothing to focus light into anything other than a spot light.
* I doubt the 2400 lumen rating. I don't have the equipment to measure that, but comparing it side by side to a different 1200 lumen light at night shows almost no difference. The documentation I received in the package stated:
Luminous Flux(Theory): 2400 LM
Luminous Flux(Appl Max): 1600 LM
Luminous Flux(Appl Low): 600 LM
I am not sure why I'd care about the "Theory", and I am pretty sure I am not getting it. That said, even half of the "Theory" is still crazy bright.
* The charge indicator lights are worthless. 3 lights stayed on till the battery was almost all used up, and then quickly went from 3 to nothing.
The ugly:
* They promise 4+ hours on high. I fully charged the battery and did a test at ~50F ambient temperature, and got 1:30, or about 1/3 of what's promised.
I thought maybe I got a lemon, but after some thinking, I am pretty sure the 4+ hour claim is simply impossible. The docs state 8.4V / 2.1A. If the current is 2.1A, we need 2.1A * 4 hours = 8400 mAh, assuming no losses. Yet, the battery pack is lighter than the 6400 mAh and 4400 mAh packs that I already own. Perhaps they have some fancy new tech that packs more energy into the same weight&volume?
8.4V voltage implies two standard lithium cells in series. That matches their claim of using 18650 cells. So, no technological breakthrough. The dimensions of the battery pack suggest there are two 18650 cells. Since there are only two, and they are used in series, the voltage is doubled, but the current is not. Since we need 8400 mAh, we need each cell to be 8400 mAh. Not all cells are created equal, and I don't know what they use, exactly, but the best cells in the market are in the 3000 mAh range, far short of 8400. In fact, if we were to assume that they used 3000 mAh cells, that would give us 3000mAh / 2.1A = 1.43 hours, or 1:26, which is basically the time that I got in my test.
Long story short - the run time is about 1/3 as long as advertised.
My commute time by bike is longer than I can expect from a full charge; therefore the light is going back to Amazon, and I am buying a different brand.

no mounting screws, no rear light, DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK!
keke✓ Verified Purchase•November 12, 2017
too bad I cannot give this junk a 0 rating. DO NOT ORDER THIS LIGHT AS IT COMES WITHOUT MOUNTING SCREWS AND WITHOUT THE REAR LIGHT. i will never order from victagen again and will encourage others not to order anything from them!
update: after talking to amazon they refuse to send any replacement with a lenghty bla bla explanation they weasel themselves out of responsibility, the seller claims that the mounting bracket does not need screws (one look at the pictures of the product shows the screw). the blaming game has started. KINDLY THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU ORDER FROM THIS "COMPANY" victagen.

Very Bright and Easy to Install

So far I am impressed with the build quality of this light. The aluminum body feels solid and the entire light assembly seems to be well sealed. I wouldn't submerge this thing in water, but from what I see I am fairly confident it will get through any weather you happen to encounter on a ride. The does not have a fine focal point which is ideal for its application as a bike light. The mounts are kind of flimsy but I had no problem mounting it to my handlebars and when I did it seemed solid enough. I know the batteries are kind of hit and miss when you buy lights for 25 bucks but luckily this can be easily solved by buying some Panasonic 18650 batteries and soldering them in. The battery pack itself, unlike a lot of other cheap lights is a completely sealed encasement and the power connection from the light to the battery seems to be very well made. I will use this light in fairly rugged terrain biking 3 or 4 hours through my local trail systems and update anyone who is interested with a full report on its performance
Update: i used this on the trail for about 2 hours riding at night in conditions with about 20 percent ilumination. I only had to turn the light on the low setting to see well enough to ride what most people would consider to be a brisk pace(average 15mph through cross country single track) This light performed well. It did not once slip from its original mounted position. The swivel feature of the mount held in place as well. The light did not get hot and when i finished my ride the battery indicator was still showing between 80 and 100 percent charge. I liked it so much i bought another. I found the best and quickest way to instsll this is by mounting the battery on the seat tube and using electrical tape to mount the power cord in place running it from the top tube to the brake or shift lever and onto the handlebars. You cannot go wrong if you buy this product7

Must have for night time bike riding! I really enjoyed having this light on my bike. The light itself is relatively small and not intrusive. I'm not sure if this was a mistake, but my light came with two mounting brackets. I placed one on my mountain bike and one on my road bike, and just like that I can easily swap the light from bike to bike. What I love most about it is the simplicity. It charges via normal 5V usb. This means you can use any phone house, car, or portable charger to charge this thing up. If you going camping, just bring a portable charger and charging this bad boy when your done, and she will be ready for another ride. Also, the battery pack is really easy to take on and off. Its a simple Velcro mechanism that just wraps around your frame.
This light is super easy to get started with. There is a charge indicator built into the light next to the switch. In the pictures I attached you can see the three levels of brightness the light provides. The photos were taken in a pitch black garage with the camera set to the same constant manual settings.
For those wondering it charges at 5V .7Amps, which can easily be delivered by any 5V charger.
