Great for my bunny

My bun loves pellets a little too much. I got this for him hoping to slow him down, as he can gobble up a 1/4 cup serving in a matter of minutes! This turned out to be a great solution. I put pellets in the ball, set it on the largest opening, shook a few pellets out for him while he watched, repeated this several times, then demonstrated rolling the ball to dispense pellets. It took him under a day to get the hang of it, and now he enjoys pushing it around and nibbling. Now I use the smaller, quarter-open setting and that dispenses Oxbow Adult Essentials pellets at a good rate. This is the first non-homemade toy I've given to my bun, and I'm very pleased with it!

I have been cutting holes into the sides of little plastic bottles to make rolling treat dispensers. I stumbled upon this product and love it. The opening can be half to under a quarter open. My ferret pushes this thing around until it's empty every night. I do use it out in a room, it doesn't really work in a cage.

One of our guinea pigs has figured out how to get pea flakes out of this and loves playing with it. Our other guinea pig doesn't get it and is bored. So in addition to being a toy, it's a rodent intelligence test!

My baby bunny Eleanor didn't seem to love toys too much, but when I introduced her to this she LOVED it! it only took her about ten minutes to learn how to use it. She loved rolling it around and looking for "treats" (which were really just her pellets). It was a great way to get her running around and exercising, and also very useful since she normally eats way too quickly.
No way to wash them.

I thought I'd be able to take these apart to wash them, but you can't. They don't have a lid or anything. I'd be afraid to soak them in soapy water because I wouldn't be able to properly rinse them, plus there's a spring in the door so I'm sure it will rust over time.
