Excellent product with useful adapters
Very useful for testing telephone and LAN wiring.

I have used it to trace telephone wires using the RJ11 connector and SCAN mode. It worked great for this. I had one phone jack in an office and I was having trouble finding the other end in the data closet. This tool made finding it easy.
I also used it to verify that CAT5 LAN wiring was connected correctly using the RJ45 jacks and the TEST mode. This is perfectly implemented and is very useful for diagnosing CAT5 wiring problems.
The manual could use some improvements. It is clear that it was written by someone that did not have a good understanding of the english language.. One of the pages is a duplicate of another page. Makes me wonder what got left out. And, the case is very nice It has a nice compartment for each item. One the back there is a D-ring and a nice belt loop. And, there is a pocket for the manual. Unfortunately this pocket opens downward so if you actually put it on your belt the manual would fall out. These are minor when one considers that it does what it is supposed to and is very reasonably priced. These minor issues are why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
I recommend this as a low cost but very useful telephone and LAN wiring diagnostic tool.

The gadget is beneficially from the point of view of the audible sound indicator as well as being non-touch. I was working recently on an in the wall electrical box with several electrical house wiring coming into it. I was trying to determine which is the load and which is the supply for a specific load, that was done finally by using simply the avometer using the Short Circuit( SC) as well as the Open Circuit (OC) tests. Also the ohm test of the load was performed. I will be doing more testing with this set for different conditions to evaluate this gadget.
