I've had a combined total of 8 surgeries on my feet. One was a midfoot reconstruction from a crush injury, another was the removal of one of the sesamoid bones due to damage caused by rheumatoid arthritis. To say that I am in constant pain is an understatement. I hoped these pads would help to reduce the pain. They did more than that. This is the first time I have walked barefoot in almost 2 years. It hurt too bad before. I am going to put socks over them...they definitely want to move around without. Wish I had tried these ages ago and will absolutely order more.

So, do you hate it as much as I do when Amazon sellers send an email asking for a rating? And of course- nothing but a 10 out of 10 is good enough! Oh, wait- that's when I get my oil changed. But, this time I am actually going to write a review. These little sleeves really are good. Recent bunionectomy with broken toes has had me off my feet. Wrapped up in bandages. Thick, uncomfortable bandages that made it hard to walk. After 17 days, why yes I did count, my doctor replaced the bandages with one of these sleeves. Wonderful. Now I can walk more and these sleeves hold my foot without discomfort. They are tight enough to keep the wound together-along with surgical tape- that I can begin to move more comfortably. They fit inside my "shoe" and I am able to put on a pair of socks over them. The gel pad on the bottom is comfortable and I like that it is enclosed in fabric. I have a different sleeve that has an exposed gel pad- not comfortable at all because it seems to stick to the bottom of my foot. Also these fit nicely between my big toe and second toe without squeezing to tightly.
I don't really know how they work with regular shoes but I am thinking they will be fine. High heels? Never gonna find out since that's how I got a bunionectomy in the first place!

Bought for yoga practice - but made my neuroma pain worsen

As I mentioned with another foot pad that I tested and reviewed, I would highly recommend these pads for anyone out there looking for extra padding on the balls of their feet, however the added pressure caused my neuroma to hurt even more - not less. The ZenToes are well made and I could see them holding up well after repeated use. I agree with other reviewers insofar as the added bulk of the pads inside of shoes could become an issue and could very well cause more discomfort. Nonetheless, wearing them with sandals, flip flops, or other open footwear should be perfectly fine.

I have tried several different metatarsal pads and this one is the best of them. It stays in place, is comfortable and has adequate padding. It is a little bulky so probably can't use it in all shoes but since I have had problems with the underside of my foot I have been buying my shoes a half size larger and it is fine in them. I do wish you could just purchase them individually because I only need the right side so the other one is just wasted. Or they could give the option of buying 2 of one side or one of each side.

I just developed pain in both feet at the balls of the feet Thanksgiving 2017. I finally bought these a month ago, they have helped so much. The padding actually alleviates the pain. I'm a women's size 8 and they fit fine. I wear socks over them then wear in tennis shoes. Unfortunately, I can only wear my tennis shoes since they stretch a little to handle the bulkiness. I can't wear almost any of my other shoes, that's the only downside, but the relief is worth it!
