One of the biggest challenges in micro drilling is getting your head and your loupe/magnification close-up to the work with a precise drill. This product addresses that problem exceptionally well. I didn't expect this product to be as good as it is given it's lower price but instead it hits--on-all-cylinders-- precision, design, and price. The spring handle tension is perfect, depth adjustment a great addition, and the floating and fixed table excellent approaches. The mount for the handpiece is excellent, it fit my h.30 perfectly. The numbers/ruler on the depth adjustment is paper and the only item that isn't perfection but it's also not needed for many folks as we would manually adjust the depth by freehand aka finding a low point on the work and setting there. As a freehand micro drilling tool this is a great addition for folks already owning a foredom setup and compatible handpiece.

You really can't go wrong with Foredom. I'm a goldsmith, and Foredom tools are a must-have. I love Foredom for providing so many ways to convert your flex shaft into other tools and uses. For a goldsmith, the flex shaft and the size of the tools such as this drill press and their sanding belt attachment are absolutely perfect for what I do. They're well-made, less expensive than buying a separate entire drill press or sanding belt motor, and they're really not that big so they save space, which is really essential on a crowded jeweler's bench.
